Orewa Veterinary Hospital

Orewa Veterinary Hospital Skilled and dedicated Vets and nurses who thrive on providing your pet with the best health care. We have our sister clinics in Millwater and Manly also.
(10)

Orewa Vet Centre has been established in the Hibiscus Coast community since the late 1970's under the initial ownership of Ivan Fuyala and more recently Brett Finlayson, who purchased the clinic in early 2004. After being on the corner of Red Beach Rd for many years the clinic moved to it's present location in Moenui Ave in 1991. This new clinic was purpose built with ample car parking outside, a

large airy reception area, two large consultation rooms, a dedicated surgical room and a large recovery / hospital area. Being established in a growing community for as long as we have has given us the chance to become part of people's families, We are now serving the children of original clients and their families. Our clinic has a great family feel, with all of the staff having children at varying stages of life, from toddlers to adults with children of their own. Pop into the clinic and meet us face to face, we are always happy to welcome newcomers to our clinic family.

That’s why it’s important to take preventative measures and to train your pet – and your whole family – to help stop your pet from eating foods they shouldn’t. Check out these tips from Southern Cross Pet Insurance.

Did you know we run our very own puppy preschool class?

Our puppy preschool has been specifically designed for puppies from 8-16 weeks old when they are at that important learning and socialising phase. It is also lots of fun for the whole family.
We cover basic commands like come, sit, down, stay and heel. We go over toilet training, biting, barking and all those lovely puppy behaviours. We also talk about nutrition, parasite control, desexing, leadership training.
You get a welcome pack with a food sample, treats, vouchers and handy information all in one cool tote bag.

The puppies really enjoy it, they get play time, they get to make and meet new friends and they get a graduation photo and this is posted onto our page. Check out our past classes! 🎓

We run our classes on Thursday nights from 6.30pm until 7.30pm over 4 weeks! It costs $120.00, we require at least their 1st vaccine

Please call our team on 09 426 5407 if this is something you would like your new puppy to join.

There are some human foods and ingredients that cats and dogs can’t eat because they may be dangerous to our pets’ health. While some human foods are okay to share with your pet, others may cause upset tummies or gastroenteritis in cats and dogs and can increase the risk of illnesses like pancreatitis and kidney disease.
