We had a fair bit of water pass the farm overnight!! You can see how high it got in the wee hours of this morning.
A few trees and branches are down, but we have been lucky compared to many so far !

With over 200mls of rain falling in the past 48 hours,and with it still raining, the farm is wet and sodden so there unfortunately will be no camping available over the next week or so until things start to dry out again.
The adjoining creek which is usually the scene of summer swims and fun, is currently running at a dangerously swift and high level and the grass parking areas in the camping paddock are very soft.
Arena hire is fine as the metal parking and arena surfaces are all weather for those that feel like a ride in the rain !!
Come and enjoy the adventures at Chester Farm !!

A beautiful early Autumn morning here this morning as Im sure it is everywhere.
A reminder that you may hire the facilities here at Chester Farm.
$20 per horse/ rider combo will get you
a full numbered Showjumping Course set in the arena and the training Derby course with over 20 low level fences is also included.
You may prefer a nice tranquil road ride or venture up into the nearby bush track to get closer to nature.
All the yards toilets etc are available and for those who just cant fit everything into 1 day take advantage of the idyllic camping surroundings bbq picinic area and hot showers for your convenience.
And of course if you build up a sweat you can cool off in the swimming hole.
Who needs HOY anyway ....??
This weekend is available and also al of Easter weekend too.

Arena and grounds are set for tomorrow nights first Competition night of Chester Farms Summer Series with practice from 2 30pm and competition starting at 4pm.
Parking for trucks and floats will be available both sides of the driveway.
Can cars please park in the driveway by arena or outside on the roadside to allow room for trucks and floats.
There may be not alot of spare space as the usual second spillover parking paddock is shut for hay so if you can park as close as practical together and use the yards for tacking up rather than tying to vehicles it would be much appreciated .

A moody evening here as the rain has passed after dumping 85mls in the past 24 hours.
Much needed here after all the dry weather. However much more is forecast over the next 5 days.
Overall we have had a mild winter this year with spring just around the corner!
