‘Chesterhope Slippery Wen Wet’

Awarded BIS at NZ’s Pointer Chamionship Show 2024 under Edwin Lenaerts, who we were fortunate enough to have as our judge on our wee island at the bottom of the world- being from so far afield with a keen interest in the breed.
There were a small but quality line up of entrants, River was handled by GSP extraordinaire Michele

We rarely show Princess River because she would rather escape crates, chase bugs and crawl into a hole, than run in circles at a decent pace… usually Mila’s dog to wrangle because they seem to enjoy each others company more and make it fun.

Excitingly rounds off the perfect trifecta for our cyclone babies in show homes… who are all exceedingly different
- Gabby, ‘Chesterhope Shes a Cyclone’ in Australia with Branor have been working hard at acquiring ribbons, a few of the BIS variety at All Breeds and Group specialty level
- Reef, ‘Chesterhope Jaggered Line’ in the South Island with Lauren is a BIS winner too at Gundog level… he is slowly getting his brain together (it is harder being a boy 🤪)

Proud as punch of young Louie

He was awarded his third and crowning CC in the UK over the weekend and can now be known as a Show Champion, which is no easy feat. Thrilled to be able to watch him from afar being such a special little odd ball as well a beautiful breed specimen in our bias eyes.

Thank you to the 3 judges who’ve awarded him so highly and given him those all important tickets; Gavin Robertson, Elaine Newberry, and Carolyn O’Neill. As well as those who’ve thought to include him in their breeding programme as he’s produced some very exciting youngsters.

He’s certainly one that got away, but as always I think we must send our best to the UK and share the lines Diane has worked so hard to nurture and preserve and share them with others. In this case to one of the best homes, and dear friends Matthew & Sam Oddie. Louie could not have ended up in a better home.
At the ripe age of 2 years old, I think the best is yet to come ❤️

He will now be known as foot loving weirdo

Great day to hide inside and get some of the babies exposed to new things

They’re used to the small 2 legged monsters… but the rowdy TV and feral cat were new to them. Took it all in their stride

The small wrigglers are mobile and firey.

They all had a spot of lead training last weekend, all of about 30 second each but better than nothing 😂
They’re quite sweet and not as fond of their teeth as ya standard 7 week old savages
