Kahuterawa K9's Doggy Daycare in the countryside limited dogs + Structured pack walks in the Palmy/Linton area Hi I am Livy and I am the owner of Kahuterawa K9s.

I have loved dogs since I was a very young girl, having always had them in my life. I knew I had always wanted to work with dogs in some capacity since I could walk. My husband and I have three dogs on our lifestyle block in Linton, backing on to the Kahuterawa Stream. Having this space, we decided to create a purpose built doggy daycare facility that we would want to send our dogs too. We offer a

safe, secure and stimulating environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our facility has an expansive grassed outdoor area with safe obstacles to play on, a mulched area and large trees for shade. We also have a warm indoor space couches for your dog to relax inside. Your dog will be picked up and delivered to and from your house in our tailored van. All dogs are fully supervised throughout the day. Our Daycare facility is limited to 10 dogs per day. I also offer structured pack walks on Tuesdays, where I walk up to a maximum of six dogs at a time. Pack walking helps a dog focus on practicing calm energy and cooperating with one another. This is a two hour adventure of pack walking around the Palmerston North area.

📣 One spot has just opened up for our Monday Pack Walk! 🐾

We do two hours of scenic walking in the beautiful hills/tracks surrounding Palmerston North, enjoying the fresh air and stunning scenery. 🐕‍🦺

After our walk, we head back to our facility for a full hour of supervised playtime.

2024 over and out! ✌️

What a remarkable year it has been! 🙌

2024 has also brought its share of difficulties, particularly with the loss of our beloved Red Dog and Chelsea just ten weeks apart. However, we have been incredibly touched by the outpouring of love, kindness, and support from our wonderful clients, who truly feel like an extended family to Kahu K9. ❤️

We are sincerely thankful for each and every one of you and your ongoing support for our small business. 🙏💞

Wishing you all a joyful Christmas with your family packs, and we look forward to what 2025 has in store!

Meet Sebastian 👋🐾

Sebastian is an almost 11 month old Springer Spaniel x Schnauzer 🐕‍🦺

A few of Sebastian’s favourites things are; his family 💙, walking, playing with his toys 🧸 ⚽️ humans and food 🍪 🍖
He is an excellent sock 🧦, tea towel , oven mitt, and cushion thief 🥷

He is also a very loving guy 🥰

Everyone has welcomed him with open paws and I think it’s very safe to say…. He’s had the BEST first day 💚 🫶

Meet Ivy 👋

Ivy is a 2 year old Border Collie x Heading dog 💞

Ivy’s favourite foods are; chicken 🍗 apples 🍏 and cucumber 🥒. Ivy loves playing hide and seek 🙈👀 in the sand dunes and running through long grass🌾.

I am spending time with Ivy to get her ready to join our Monday Pack Walk crew 🫶.

Meet Nellie 👋 💞

Nellie is a 21 month old Tibetan Terrier 🐕

Nellie’s favourite things are; chicken 🍗 and salmon, 🍣 playing with her Sister Luna (who also comes to daycare!) sleeping in her bed 💤 racing around her hill at home, snuggling 🥰 and meeting other dogs and people on her walks.

She also likes to talk a lot 🗣️

She had a wonderful first day and showed me just how much she likes to snuggle.

Meet Bazza 👋

Bazza is a 6 year old Long Haired Jack Russell. 💙

A few of Bazza’s favourite things are; tennis balls 🎾, going to the beach 🏝️ and food (particularly human food 🍲).

This afternoon Bazza and I had a one on one together. He aced it and got to meet Zeus halfway through. 👏

We are very excited for Bazza to be joining the Monday Pack Walk crew 🙌

Meet Luna 👋 🩷

Luna is a 20 month old Tibetan Terrier 🐕

Luna loves her Sister Nellie, running, her toys 🧸, cuddling her Mum 🥰, all people and other dogs!

She had a great first day with the Wednesday crew yesterday, her half brother Alfie helped her settle in with ease. 🐾

Today on our Adventure Friday we celebrated the beautiful Rivar turning FIVE 🩷🎂 Freedom, swims and party treats! What a way to spend a special girls day 🎉 A huge thank you to Rivar’s Mum for supplying the treats 🍪 the pack devoured them!

Today we celebrated Frankie turning one ☝️ 🎉 💚 He has had a great day with all his friends, frolicking in the paddock with the birthday hat on! 🎈 🥳 A MASSIVE thank you to Frankie’s Mum for baking the most delicious looking Pupcakes. 🧁 🫶 Everyone devoured them.. even I was close for trying one 😂

It was a bit of a wet one today ☔️🌦️ But the dogs have had an absolute blast in the paddock 💥 💦 🐕 We will need to go dry off by the fire 🔥 before drop offs 😂 🚐

Today the Wednesday crew celebrated Frankie’s 3 year adopt-a-versary 💜 We did lots of paddock hoons, admired a beautiful rainbow 🌈 and then came back and had the delicious Pupcakes 🧁 (a huge thank you to Frankie’s Mum for supplying these) by the fire 🔥 A day well spent with her daycare family 🫶

Today our Pack Walk + Play crew celebrated the gorgeous Milo turning 4! 🎉 ☀️. A big thank you to Milo’s Mum for proving the chicken bagel 🥯 treats for everyone 🩷🙌

Today we celebrated Blaze turning 3! 🎉🐾 Blaze requested that we light the fire for everyone to relax around in the afternoon, and his mum bought everyone treats to share. 🙏🔥 🍂 It’s been a great day 💙
