Here is Ollie and Lulu having their first time with this game ππ©·
Brutus in week 3 also learning all about loose leash walking πΎπ§‘
It is very important not to rush out and walk your puppy out and about - the best help you can give your dog is learn at home how to walk on a leash and then when you eventually go out and about you will have a dog that will hear you and refocus from the distractions and walk on a loose leash much quicker π§‘πΎ
Stationary training is so powerful for your puppy for Loose leash walking first π§‘πΎ
His recall has also massively improved just from playing the group name game and individually playing it with each family member π
Massive improvement, I love my job ππΎπ
3rd week Puppy Adolescent session. What a change heβs really starting to listen and focus on his owners πΎπ§‘
We are extending his boundary game here using the mouse game. He has to really use his brain and work out to get back in the bed and not go to the like of food as in the mouse game heβs been playing ! Joining them together is extending him staying in the bed with a distraction. Sometimes to start we need to help them π§‘πΎ
Dog training is not perfect each time but not getting frustrated with your dog and remembering you are to help them make the right choices and then youβll enjoy the training together ππΎπ
Ollie playing the recall game learning his name too !
Getting the best recall is making sure you donβt say their name all the time π
Just use pup pup puppy instead and only say their name in the name game πΎπ
Pre puppy class 2nd week. Lulu learning her name. I love this game as a family you can introduce your puppies to collar grab and holding the lead straight after hearing their name. Another confidence builder πThey learn their name from different voices in the family too and itβs a fun game to play in the garden and then eventually out and about.
We held her lead a bit longer as a restrained recall and look at her go!
