He didn’t have stable name on his sheet so Luke seems fitting for his intro today.
(🤠 Auckland 🎶 concert bound)

Unraced approx 17hh gelding sired by Usual Suspect with white to turn heads along with his lovely paces.

Big sensitive gentleman who is scared of spiders!
Not a nasty bone in his body but super green so will be looking to place him in an experienced home with a rider who is patience with time to produce.

Arrived for Christmas and we had an amazing opportunity to send him for 3 weeks professional schooling.
This has also made sure he’s set up for the best possible start given where he’s at with his education.
This has been dollared by me so he’s not getting flicked under the lower tag.

Being unraced he hasn’t been exposed like others and needs time to process. But in another breath his low miles means his body and mind reflect this. His retirement is genuine and he is sound, remember he’s a big boy who will benefit from time.

What I call a Popcorn eye which might drop a few off his home list - white showing.
Dental done recently and has been floated and trucked but don’t expect to stuff him into a small box. He is confident in his own company but enjoys friends if they are kind.

Will continue to update his album and let’s see if a fam bam is keen to take him on.

The Pins gelding No Compromise, known affectionately as Grant rolled into Jump Start to be introduced to life after racing.

He had a stroll around the farm today after a late lunch and afternoon nap.💤

A very cool fellow who might not have the flashy markings but certainly has a big heart proven during his successful racing career, calling Australia home for a good chunk.

Grant is so relaxed and is well known for his good behaviour and love of the beach.

We have had a show of hands already for Grant which makes my heart jump!
I feel JS has matched him up so will continue to tick the boxes and make sure this returning client is happy with the job we do.

Trustworthy (Tiger) is a 15.3hh ish solid gelding 8yo NZTB who has raced NZ but did get a holiday in HK.
Sired by Reliable Man out of a St Petersburg/volkraad Dam for all those who follow the breeding lines.

Finished Racing in March 2024 and has enjoyed a spell and some fantastic education from his owner and trainer before making his way here for 13yo Zara to work on as a summer holiday project and hopefully a few coins in return.

Proving that TBs are extremely versatile and young riders can have a load of fun!
If you know someone who has a smaller budget but would like to be out and about competing then Tiger could definitely be the man for the job. Hoping to see him at some local sports and shows before handing the reins to the next rider!

Happy to work around the farm with kids, motorbikes, dogs and the crazies of our life.

No vices, straightforward kiwi bloke who likes a job and has a give it a go attitude when jumping. Point and he goes as long as you go with him. He can move and has been improving each flatwork session, it’s definitely not his love the flat/arena but he’s happy to get by and tries hard to please. Strengthening on the right rein.

Floats confidently SL or angle.
Recently dental and body work, has been running unshod but we popped some fronts on him to make him look special. He is in good condition (spelled), easy to keep and manage. All the locals think he’s a tad special here.

*Minor injury which was rehabbed early on in his racing career, keeping it honest but let’s be real if he’s raced then he can certainly enjoy a sporthorse life.

I feel he would like a keen young rider to keep him having fun and jumping but maybe I’m narrowing his options - could fit into a working life, polo cross, sports and rtr type buddy so I’ll let you point his direction.

Yup the title of his album reads the story.

“Guy with one eye” 👁️

He’s a 3yo 16.2hh gelding with the sweetest personality and just adores attention.

I might have bitten off a tad more than I can chew with trying to find this one eyed special gg a home???

I feel he would make the most amazing companionship horse, maybe a saddle hunter with an experienced home and rider. I do believe he is worthy of someone’s time and love - you definitely will fall for this one when you meet him.

Guy has been broken in but then it was discovered he is blind in his right eye so unable to continue with his direct in racing. He is spelling and waiting patiently for me to have more hours in the day to get him up and going. Will need time and experience to tick his boxes under saddle more than I had first thought 💭 he’s as green as grass.

Possibly the fattest tb pony, floats well, paddocks alone or in company. He is enjoying a big paddock with another 3yo.

Yup let’s see where this rehoming road goes! It’s not a straight one that’s for sure!

- Ripper -
6yo 16.2hh plus Gelding Sired by Rip Van Winkle out of a Mastercraftsman Dam.

Extremely well educated with his trainer and has had a variety of experiences prior to arriving here. Ripper has been trained over hill country and we throughly enjoyed a sheep station ride with a large group while here.

He has also been jumped and has a super cute non spooky attitude - easy to find a spot and certainly feel comfortable taking this boy out xc training. He was equally as schooled in the dressage arena and will step into his new role with ease.

He is happy to float or truck, had a recent dental and farrier work - shod all 4 with good feet.
Always first to the gate and loves his food but at this stage he is still in his racing body but will look super once the pies kick in and he’s muscles up.

I adore how easy he is to ride and have around, his super temperament and generosity of his kind soul. Let’s hope we can secure him a home!

Ben has been a stable favourite and is well known for his 2nd placings - a large number of them!

He joined our stable recently, completing a couple of rides before having a veterinary dental. Gosh I did enjoy him too!

We opted to do some work which has required a couple of weeks off (a removal) but he’s going to be back on the yard in no time and we look forward to helping him secure a home. His dental will in no way effect him, just helps set him up for a bright future!

With the messages pouring in let’s answer a few questions! I’m tapped out and seems to be a number of horses banging on my door 😢

No he hasn’t jumped as yet and yes we have his first ride video which will be uploaded when he becomes available.

Ideally we need to tick the boxes and make sure we can offer him a range of experiences and opportunities before moving him out the door - please be patient.

Eugene secured a home last week.
I didn’t get a chance to finish his album.

16hh 6yo gelding sired by Exosphere.

He was lucky to tick off some schooling and experiences along with a short holiday before landing in the paddock of a returning client which is special. She has his stable mate and the pair were excited to be reunited.

I’m currently a one man band with a number of horses to work so my time has been going into horse care not media or messages. A number of his rides and outings were not under a photographer but I’m confident to say he got the A+ for all his rides.

160cm approx home measured Chestnut Mare with attractive markings.
Sire: Unusual Suspect out of a Volkraad Dam.
NZTB unraced but had two trials in 2023 cementing her retirement during 2024 as she was non competitive.

Has established the basics on the flat, balanced with correct leads and a super canter. She has started jumping which she throughly enjoys. During her limited jump schooling over poles and xc type fences has shown potential with plenty of scope.

Ulla has solo hacked over the farm on many occasions, been on group river rides and happy to walk on the buckle, gives a safe feel.
Her outings also include trips to the local xc training and pony club for schooling.

Very cuddly mare who calls out and thrives with interactions. Will follow me around the paddock and enjoys groundwork, grooming and being in the limelight.
Settled SL and angle floating, loading and traveling, is the same when riding in different environments.

Currently shod in front (6th Jan 25) with good feet. Recent vet dental (Dec 24) and routine check up. Ulla has been enjoying a more relaxed work balance over the Christmas holiday period as she is not one who is needing regular work or a full routine. She has shown she can be the same to ride after some downtime, has not shown any dirty behaviours under saddle but is ridden by confident experienced riders. She is still a young horse and will need support.

She has been gaining muscle and conditioning well, on grass and enjoys her hard feed. No issues with her diet or eating.

Is more relaxed in her paddock with company close by im sure she could transition into a solo home. Happy to tie to the float and stand alone. Does NOT windsuck or shown any vices. No known injuries or soundness issues.

- Her dream new home would be happy to continue with her schooling and have patience to produce her into a competitive mount.

- A rider who is confident and capable, could step into a first young horse or tb to produce further.

- Ulla has not been competed mainly due to limited suitable events and time restrictions. We had hoped to get her out before advertising and will continue with that aim until rehomed.
