About me:

I'm a Working Equitation rider, instructor and judge, and have been competing in Working Equitation since 2018 at various levels up to Novice, currently bringing my Lusitano-cross AliMay out at Preliminary level.

I'm a current member of the Kapiti group and of the 22/23/24 WENZ committee and in this role helped organise the successful North Island Judges clinic and demonstration at Equifest 2022.
I'm extremely passionate about growing the sport of Working Equitation in NZ and have taught several introductory clinics in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

As a qualified Veterinarian with further education and a special interest in animal behaviour, I also bring knowledge and understanding of the unique relationship between horse and rider and have a real drive to be involved in an โ€œwelfare-firstโ€ sport."

Last weekend Alimay and I headed to the annual Kapiti Working Equitation show for her first Preliminary competition!

As you can see she coped very well with the step up in class, and we came:

1st in Ease of handling
2nd in Speed
3rd in Dressage
So 2nd overall ๐Ÿ˜

We also won the Best Partnership award - something I'm very proud of.
