You just can't beat the comfort of home. Max, undergoing ACL/knee surgery around ten weeks ago is being a real champ, taking his isolation in his stride, allowing him to have the best recovery possible whilst maintaining visual contact with his four-legged pack. Tiggy, the cat goes and says hello each day; and, Maggie can't wait to have Max back in full contact again soon.

Firstly; for any motorcyclists out there, the Manawatu Chapter of The Patriots Defence Force Motorcycle Club are having their annual charity ride on Sunday at 9am, start point is Placemakers, 1-7 Francis Way, Palmerston North. This year's ride is to raise funds for the Woodville Animal Welfare Centre, who need an additional animal shelter following the issues from Cyclone Gabrielle. So; please feel free to share, as everyone is welcome to come along and register (includes a badge for m/c riders); or, make a donation to a very worthy cause (flyer attached).

Secondly; there's a new pet shop in Palmy, The Cats&Dogs Dinner Company. Covid Update.

With the dropping of the Covid Traffic Light System; and, the removal of nearly all the mandates and restrictions, all our services remain available.

What we recommend.

To lessen the spread of Covid and having to isolate, we will wear a facemask during initial meet n' greets with prospective customers; and, recommend you do also, if you wish to.

Should you or members of your bubble feel unwell, we recommend having a rapid antigen (RATs) test to identify the presence of the Covid virus. Should you be isolating following a positive test, please let us know prior to our meeting.

Should you be isolating at home, we are still able to provide contactless services outside your home ie. lawnmowing, gardening, dog walking and pet feeding etc.

You will not be charged cancellation fees, should you need to cancel a booking due to Covid.

COVID-19 Update.

Covid Traffic Light System Update:

We are fully vaccinated; and, all our services are available under the Covid Traffic Light System, with the following restrictions.

The Government has now removed the requirement for vaccine passes. Even if further restrictions are removed if and when we move to an Orange Covid level status - in an effort to lessen the chance of contracting Covid and possibly passing it on, or having to isolate, we will still wear a facemask during initial meet n' greets with prospective customers.

We don't discriminate between those vaccinated or not vaccinated; but, should you or members of your bubble feel unwell; be isolating following becoming a close or casual contact; or, be awaiting the results of a Covid test, please let us know prior to our meeting.

Should you test positive; and you are isolating at home, we are still able to provide contactless services outside your home ie. lawnmowing, gardening, dog walking etc.

Should you need to cancel a booking due to Covid, you will not be charged cancellation fees.

For us dog owners and walkers, this time of year brings about some things in and around our native green spaces where we walk our dogs that are at best toxic; or, at worst could be deadly. One of these items at present is the seeds of the Karaka tree which are currently shedding in abundance. Signs of Karaka berry poisoning include weakness, vomiting, confusions and convulsions. Karaka seed skins are green until they mature, before turning yellow. Discourage your dog from eating them; and, If you suspect they have, call your vet promptly!

Existing customers with any questions or concerns, are asked to either reply to the email; or text, or phone to discuss.

New customers:

We are still able to provide contactless free, no obligation quotes for lawn and garden services in the manawatu region; however, meet n greets for additional services will need to wait until we reach level 2.

New customers wanting quotes for lawn and garden services are welcome to get in touch via Facebook, phone, email; or, online at tailendcharlies.co.nz

Due to the Delta variant being more transmissible, we will conduct another review of the Government's guidelines under level 2, to determine the services we can perform. It is hoped that dog walking services can resume at level 2.

Services, such as house/pet sitting will resume once we return to a level 1 alert, and travel restrictions end.
