I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Irish Coffee won the National Super 5 Series for this last season. It is the highest average percentage over the whole country for Advanced level, we won with an average percentage of 73.3%. Feel so grateful to have Irish in our team and to his wonderful supportive owners. Can’t wait till next season, bring on winter training! Eastwood Motor Group Maddox Equestrian Hygain Antarès Sellier Thank you to my amazing sponsors 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 And to my special team at home that make this all happen ❤️❤️❤️

As we approach Waikato Champs, HOY and Nationals I just wanna say how I feel so lucky to be sponsored by the most generous and genuine people. Not only to they support me but they support local events, it was the Eastwood Motor Group Wairarapa Premier League a couple weeks ago. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I competed Irish Coffee in the Advanced level, which he was 1st in all three of his tests taking out Champion Advanced.
We also took along Fom Fairytale HK (Fiona) and she was foot perfect and highlight was her musical which she scored 73.3%.
Wairarapa area also won the teams challenge which is the first time in 10 years 🥳🥳🥳
It was also great to see so many of my past horses doing so well, Aphrodite and James were Champion Grand Prix and Joniro and Francesca Masfen Champion Advanced Medium. 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you to my owners in the Irish Coffee syndicate and Fiona’s owner Renai Hart for their continued support. Thanks to my team who make everything happen behind the scenes. Thank you to my amazing sponsors
Thank you to the committee and volunteers for their hours of work to make this show happen. 🥂🥂🥂

Taking a moment to take in the last week at Takapoto. Wow what an amazing show, we are so lucky to have one like this to go to so thank you team ORO Dressage by the Lake
I’m so proud of our team and all my students, it’s so satisfying to be apart of them kicking their goals.
I’m also super proud of our beautiful Irish Coffee. I have to admit I was quite nervous leading up to this show not knowing how he would handle the atmosphere but he blew me away with how he just soaked it all in and got better and better. It’s no secret that we have been working on his competition anxiety and I feel he’s really starting to put that energy into his work, using it in a positive way.
Irish came away with three out of three wins and a new PB in our Freestyle of 76.58% in the Advanced level. (Thank you Lilly Jefferies for my new music)
I feel so lucky to ride a horse like him and even luckier that we are really starting to build a partnership.
Thank you to all the amazing helpers this week, James, Rachel, Katy, Sarah x2, Oliver, Rebecca. And everyone else that helped make this week happen. Thank you to my amazing Irish Coffee syndicate for believing in us and supporting all the way. ❤️🙏🏻 Thanks Soph and Della for looking after team at home. Thank you to my coach Vanessa Way . Finally thanks to my amazing sponsors Antarès Sellier Maddox Equestrian Hygain Eastwood Motor Group 📸by Libby Law Photography - NZL

Irish Coffee was Mr Consistent at the Bay of Plenty Dressage Champs, scoring 72%, 73% and 73% and winning Advanced Champion.
It was such a great weekend with great weather, good friends and family around. So proud of our little team, Rachel coming home with Champion Medium Bronze Championship and James and Snix Reserve Champion Medium Tour.
Thank you to the BOP committee for a great show. Thanks to Rachel, James and Sarah for looking after the horses. Special thanks Jude for making the trip over from Aus to visit. Thank you to the support from the Irish Coffee syndicate, we are so excited for his future.
Thank you to my amazing sponsors

Dressage Central Districts ran a great show last weekend. All our horses were excited to be out and about!!
Fom Fairytale HK ( Fiona) is growing in confidence and stepped up to Novice at her first Premier League show. She ended up with 3 seconds and Reserve Champion Novice. Highlight being her first ever musical scoring 74%.
Irish Coffee is also improving in lots of different ways, in his work but also in his confidence. He used to find music quite scary but this weekend he felt at ease with the musicals playing alongside his arena. He won all three classes over 70% and won Champion Advanced.
Another super special moment was watching and helping James and Aphrodite compete in their first show together. They did some awesome work and came home with the win, can’t wait to see what they can achieve this season.
Thank you to all the owners involved to help me achieve these goals, the Irish Coffee syndicate and Fiona’s owner, Renai Hart. 🙏🏻 Thank you to Rachel and Sarah Hucker and James for looking after and turning out the horses so well! ❤️Thank you to my amazing sponsors
Well done to all my students and pupils, so proud of you all. Photos courtesy of EJ Photography

Blew the cobwebs out with the first show of the season at Wairarapa Spring show. Irish Coffee producing a PB on 75.66% in the Advanced, I was so pleased with his progress we finished on that note and saved him for another day. A new member to the team recently is Fom Fairytale HK (Fiona), our first show together and she preformed beautifully growing in confidence each time scoring 74% and 75% in the Preliminary. Thank you to Rachel and James for turning them out so beautifully even though the weather was less than ideal! Thank you to my amazing sponsors 📸 JH Photography
Thanks to Wairarapa dressage for another great show.
Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Flash back to winning the Advanced National title 2023. Shine and power brought to you by Hygain Expert saddle fitting by Maddox Equestrian and Antarès Sellier (first test we scored 70% after some small tweaks to the saddle for the second day we scored 75%, results speak for themselves). Well what can we say about the epic past week at Bates NZ Dressage Championships.
We should start with the beautiful mare ‘Aphrodite’, this was our last time competing together as I pass the reins on to James as it’s time to focus on the next generation. As you can imagine it was an emotional last ride in the Grand Prix musical and even better to finish on a 70.75%. Snickers was also awarded the Rakanui Stud Trophy ‘Best Performed Mare’ award and the Anamour descendant award. We also finished 2nd place in the Super 5 series for Grand Prix 22/23. Pretty amazing way to round out our time together! ❤️🦄
Irish Coffee really blew us all away, he really grew up and got over his competition anxiety. He scored a 70.68%, 75.49% and a 72.52% in the Advanced Open and came home with National Champion Advanced! 🎉🦄 I’m very excited for his future and how he is progressing in his training.
Joniro started the show with a bang and scored a great 73% in the 5B and taking out the win in the Super 5 series for Advanced Medium level 22/23.🏆 🏆🏆 Joniro was also National Reserve Champion Advance Medium.
I feel so lucky to have such beautiful horses and amazing people around me supporting me and encouraging us to go further. It was an amazing week for us and one thing we have learnt over the years is to celebrate the wins, as they don’t always come off.
Thank you to my amazing partner James for being chief organiser and plaiter and all round super star 🤩. Thank you to Oliver for grooming the horses and taking such good care of them, sad as it was his last show as he’s off home now. Special mention to Katy for doing all the leg work at the show. Thanks Della and Sophie for looking after our horses at home. Thank you to my amazing coach Vanessa Way. 🙏🏻 Thank you to my amazing owners of Aphrodite (5 years and my first ever clients in NZ!!) and the Irish Coffee syndicate! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you to a great mare ❤️
She has taught me so much
She has taught me a mare needs to be respected and to roll with the punches. Some days are good and some days are not so great but no matter what, she always tries her best.
She’s taught me to never give up and to keep trying. But most importantly she taught me to believe in myself. Thank you Snicky ❤️

Furst Henri BHI came home with Champion Novice 🏆
Joniro Reserve Champion Advanced Medium

Aphrodite Reserve Champion Grand Prix 🏅
Irish Coffee was a little too hot to trot so we decided to save him for another day. 🦄
Safe to say the D-Max was foot perfect all weekend. Massive thanks to for their generous sponsorship of the the show all the cars looks amazing out there!
I was super grateful for my saddles with the horses feeling a bit fresh after their summer holidays! I feel so secure and well balanced in them. Onwards and upwards now with only one more show for us before Horse of the Year.

It’s time to introduce the newest ride in my team.. His name is D - Max he’s brand new, steel grey, rides like a dream, only needs more mileage and time to mature. I’m very excited for his future!
In all seriousness I’m so proud to say that I’m sponsored by Eastwood Motor group. They are a local business that support so many different competitions, groups and people. I’m so grateful for their support and sponsorship. So anyone looking for a new car or Ute Eastwood Motor Group are your guys! Most importantly Elton approves!!

Well that’s a wrap on 2022 for us! We are just winding down from moving all of our horses and property to Capel Farm in the Wairarapa. It has been a busy few weeks that’s for sure!

New Zealand National Championships were a real thrill for us as our own Joniro took home two firsts and a second ultimately winning the Advanced Medium Championship! We are very happy with Jono’s progress and how he is developing, I really enjoy riding him!
Aphrodite did some really good work but just a little too inconsistent this time to be up in the placings. Still happy with the work we did do. Snickers often tries too hard then gets a bit flustered and trying to manage that is always a balancing act but that is part of what makes her so good.
I’m also super proud of James and Donna they won the Vanessa Way Pro Am Championship for Small Tour!!
Cornelia had her foal, a little filly by Sezuan and we are in love with her already! Pepper is her name.
Back in October we had Wellington Champs with Furst Henri BHI and he won the Novice Cahmpionship.

Lots of people to thank! Thank you to Oliver and James for looking after and turning the horses out so well! Thank you to Snickers owners for trusting me and supporting me! Thank you to all our friends and family for all their help moving! It was a mission… Lastly thank you to my wonderful sponsors Maddox Equestrian Antarès Sellier

Dressage Central Districts was a super well run show that was a great start to our season!

Furst Henri BHI 🦄 did his very first premier league show exceeding all our expectations winning all three of his classes and winning highest score for the show!! His first ever musical 77.19% 🏆 Coming home with Champion Novice 🏆 Henri is very dear to us because we bought him at 1 month old and have cared for him up to this point and broken him in ourselves so for him to be received so well is icing on the cake 🥰

Joniro 🦄 stepped up from Elementary to Advanced Medium. He also won all three tests gaining confidence as he went and really learning his job scoring 76.19% for his first level 5 musical! 🏆 Champion Advanced Medium🏆

Aphrodite 🦄 feeling great but also really settled for her first show of the season. Lots of room for improvement as the season progresses. She was second in both her Grand Prix and Musical. 🏆 Reserve Champion Grand Prix 🏆

Also very proud of James and Donna coming home with 🏆 Champion Small Tour🏆. And Oliver our working student having a great placing in a strong field in the Novice 🏆

Thank you to everyone that helped this week end get us 3 humans and 5 horses through all our tests on time. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you to Snix owners Belinda and Emily Stuchbery, so excited for this season with her!
Lastly thank you to my personal sponsors Antarès Sellier Maddox Equestrian

Coming towards the end of the season we have had a couple exciting competitions. We had four horses at the Wairarapa Autumn Series with two new additions to our team. First of which is our pride and joy Furst Henri BHI who we bought as a foal and have broken in and started ourselves. Henri exceeded all our expectations and even won both his tests with scores up to 78%. The other new addition is Irish Coffee, who we have only been together for a short time but I feel we have developed a partnership already. Irish competed in the Advanced 6A and 6B for 75% and 73%. Joniro stepped up to Elementary level with 69% and 70%. Arkenwood Donnervalde stepping up to PSG with a 66%. It was a busy but very satisfying day, looking forward to the next one!
Also not to forget our head mare, Aphrodite placing 3 rd at the Dressage 4 Denmark CDI Grand Prix.
Thank you must go to the organises and sponsors of these events for making them happen and providing us with shows to go to. Thank you to my personal sponsors Maddox Equestrian Antarès Sellier Harrison Lane

We have had a busy and exciting last two weeks! We are finally back out to some competitions, Bay of Plenty Champs and Wellington Champs.

Bay of Plenty held at Taupo we had Aphrodite in the Grand Prix placing fourth in her tests. Arkenwood Donnervalde came home with Advanced Champion. Also Joniro came home with Novice Champion.🏆

Wellington Champs we had just the two Arkenwood Donnervalde and Joniro, they managed to bring home Champion in both their levels again too! Both achieved personal bests, Jono 80.92% and Donna 72%. We are extremely happy with how they are progressing and developing. 🦄

Another exciting development is ‘Cornelia’ had her first foal by Vitalis this week and we are smitten with him. 🥰

Massive thank you must go to the hard working committees and officials that made these shows go ahead. I know it must be a huge effort in these times so thank you!
Thank you to James and Laura for turning out and looking after the horses to perfection.
Thank you to my personal sponsors who support me Maddox Equestrian Antarès Sellier Harrison Lane
