"Wow, 2024! It's hard to put the last twelve months into words. I had some incredible opportunities and amazing experiences, but also faced some tough times. Through it all, I've grown stronger. I'm looking forward to 2025 with a lot of hopes, dreams, and goals. I know things might not always go as planned, but I'm ready to give it my all!

Well what a Rollercoaster the last 5 days have been.

Born To Fly Equestrian will be moving to Clevedon were I will continue training In the new year.

For trimming clients I will still be servicing all of franklin and surrounding areas. (Have availability for more trimming clients)

Well I'm very gutted things haven't worked out where I currently am. I am equally as excited for the new opportunitys. I am extremely greatfull for the team I've had behind me in the difficult period.

Hopefully a more positive post tomorrow.

Summer was rescued a year ago so he feet are still are work in progress but otherwise in good health. She has had basic handling she never raced or was broken in by the racing industry.
I have very lightly backed her.

Lightly handled, lovely soft temperament. Can be wary at first but once she knows you you're away.
Got in foal on her first serve, no complications, birthed with out any help and is an excellent mum.
No reason she can't be started undersaddle just haven't had the time.

Very curious bold foal, absolutely love his personality, was imprinted after birth and has been lightly handled. Bud Jds sire was a bush pony who I broke in he was very trainable and level headed for a stallion, had an epic jump to him. Since being gelded is excelling as being a kids pony.

But to be fair unicorns don't exist either. In saying that aswell I like to be very open about what I do and all the ups and downs!

Sass had 2 absolutely lovely rounds in the 75cm before coming to the last fence which was a big oxer and very stubbornly in both rounds refused to go over it until the back rail was down. Then she decided that been tied and patiently waiting at the float was not a thing and proceeded to dig a hole. So low and behold sass got put on the float. Where she was an angel relaxed and stood perfectly still enjoying her haynet.

I had 1 more rounds on Katie at this point. Who had a lovely 80cm round and when it went to 90 I had never put her over big square oxers before. And only practiced over fences with a max 50cm spread. Lesson learnt and will do some practice later this week.

Back to Sass in the float still happily munching away. She had probably been in the float for maximum 20 minuets and then a 30 min drive home. Now my question is if she's happy and not stressed in the float, as opposed to being a psycho who's clearly not happy as well as at a potential of hurting herself out of the float, preffered by the fellow Equestrian people, and it is/was frowned upon that she was in the float?

Sure I would've preferred her out and evrey other week she has stood perfectly still and had a nap tied at the float. Now im figuring what triggered her to be an ass and how to fix it. I never want to stop learning and training my horses in the most efficient way to match each horse.

Sorry for the ramble, well done if you made it this far. Just been pondering why " having my horse on the float was bad" all day and still makes no sense to me😅

I am offering a new service where you can bring your horse/pony to me and learn with your horse. Weather it's starting undersaddle or schooling, groundwork or hacking you name it I can probably help.

To kick things of will start at $70 per hour, price may vary depending exactly on what your wanting.

Katie won her🥇85cm class, 5th 85cm and 4th in 75cm. Katie was not amused with the prize giving and her dragon ears appeared multiple times🤣

Sass was out of the ribbons but had a clear 60cm and her first ever 75cm round for one rail.

The wind was definitely something today! The horses still get ridden no matter the weather, but today really put them to the test. Below is a lovely mare who's just been started undersaddle.

Sterling update! Sterling is a very reactive 3 yr old I have here for starting. With some time, love, and patience he finally trusts me and his sweet side has come out🥰 First time having a saddle on today, playing with some obstacles and a little ride. Have the chiro booked in as he is quite sore through his pole, I cpeaned his sheath today so he will be feeling 💯 in no time.

Golds first few wobbly steps! He's a little 11.2hh colt. Available for service this season if anyone's interested.

Sunday Funday! Quinn headed home this afternoon, He's going to be a one in a million pony. Me and Sierra made good use of the miserable weather 💦 The horses in turnout are doing fabulous and either growing or baking me some foals which are due pretty soon!

Mac has now got walk, stop, turning, with a bridle and a saddle established. He's still getting the hang of trotting and isn't 100% sure what he's meant to be doing. First ride out and about the farm the other day. Will be available with more work 8️⃣k

I'm actually a little obsessed with Spirit🤩🎉 I figured he would've had 20-30 rides and this was him yesterday. Doing a course between 70cm to 1m.
