Better late than never! hahah
Here are some of the pictures from the Photo Corner - thank you Nikki South Photography and Video for them! :)
Thank you to everyone who made this day super special, and thank you again to the community who supported RescuesPalooza last December.
The event was a hit! we got around 500 people coming, got around 500 kg. of food and supplies for the fluffs, and $3k that was split among the rescues.
What do you think, everyone? should we do another one? 🙂

What an amazing turn out for this FIRST edition of RescuesPalooza, so proud of this animal lovers community! :)
What happened on Saturday was so huge, so awesome! :)
Based on our raffle ticket stubs, we had over 400 people attending, which blew us away!
We also collected over 500kg worth of food and supplies, and more than 2.5k in money donations. Bay of Plenty showed up big time!
Very happy to announce we will come back reloaded next year :P
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and your fur babies got some nice goodies :)
Once again, A HUGE THANK YOU to our sponsors Beach Road Vet Clinic & Vet Post for making this possible, to the 37 stallholders and 9 rescues attending.
Thank you to every single person who helped us somehow, who attended, donated, spread the word.
To our volunteers, legends! special thanks to Missy's family, Jordan, Megan, Kerry & everyone who helped behind the scenes working lots for this to happen.
It was very surreal to see it all come together and be such a huge success. Our literal blood, sweat and many tears went into this market with all proceeds heading straight to the rescues! We couldn't be more happy with the turnout and we know that RescuesPalooza can only get bigger and better from here.

Our market will be indoors, so we don't have to worry about the weather 🙂
We will be utilizing multiple big rooms, with air-conditioning and bathroom facilities on site.
However, animals are not allowed on site, so please leave your fur babies at home.
Saturday 10th December - 11 to 4 pm - Papamoa Sports & Recreation Centre.

How can you get your entry ticket?
To gain an entry ticket to the event you will be asked for a donation of animal food or animal-related supplies at the door, which will be distributed to the rescues at the end of the event.
Examples of items you can bring: dry & wet pet food, litter & litter boxes, crates, carriers, flea & worm treatments, plates, beds, toys, etc. 😍
We have donkeys, horses, chickens, cats and dog rescues, so you can bring any item related to these animals. The more goods, the merrier! 😃
However, donated items should be in new or very good condition. We won't accept dirty, heavily used or opened supplies for safety reasons.
There will also be a piggy bank to donate money for those who don't bring any items. But we highly encourage you to bring supplies 🙂
We want to have a room full of donations, so please, go big! 🙂
Don't forget to leave your pooches at home, as animals are not allowed on site.

The answer is NO.
Although we would love to meet all of your fur babies, this event will be just for their human parents.
Due to being an indoor market, animals are not allowed.

And if you want to adopt, you can talk to the rescues on the day and find your perfect match later 🙂

Hello from the organisers 💕
Misha from Roma Dog Behaviour Academy, Roma Dog Behaviour Academy, Missy from Missy’s Petsitting Service Missy's Pet Sitting Service and Fran from Moggies - Homes for cats and kittens
We are 3 crazy animal lovers who had our own rescues in the past and we never stopped helping animals in our community 💕
Why are we doing this event?
Simple: we want to say THANK YOU to the amazing rescue groups in the area.
They do such a great job in our community! We’ve been there and know the amount of work it intakes!
What we don't always realize is that behind the rescues names, there are people just like us: who have their own work and busy lives, but they always make time to help.
These volunteers invest their sleep hours, compromise their personal lives & free time, and often pay for things from their own pockets towards animal welfare.
So come down and meet the faces behind these 10 rescues. Share the love, give them a pat on the back, a smile, a thank you.
It's your opportunity to collaborate with all of them and know more about their work and other ways of helping.
