I am now planning my future breeding programme of Miniature American Shepherds Our breeding stock have all been DNA tested for CL and CEA.

Update Sept 2022 - I am very excited about the future of Heidesa as I will be breeding Miniature American Shepherds in a couple of years time. Sad to say I am no longer breeding Border Collies but I still love hearing how my Heidesa dogs are doing, so please keep posting updates of them :)

We have been breeding for 35 years and produce chocolate, red , tri-colour , blue merles and the traditiona

l black and white Border Collie. We pride our lines for having exceptional temperaments and the willingness to work. Many of our puppies go to obedience and agility competition homes but others that are a little more laid back make wonderful pets. We have bred many Obedience Champions and Obedience Grand Champions, as well as tracking and agility titled dogs. Heidesa dogs have also taken out many of top prizes in National shows and National Dog Obedience Assemblies. Our dogs do not just have top working lines in behind them but they themselves have gone out in the competition world and proven time again that Heidesa really does have that special quality that makes them winners. John and Maxine are senior dog obedience judges and have been judging for over 30 years. They have also competed in obedience and won and judged at the highest level and at many National events. Maxine herself has trained five Obedience Grand Champions. It is through their success at breeding, training, judging and competing that they have accumulated a vast amount of experience and knowledge in the many aspects of the dog world. Unfortunately Glamour has come into season while we are overseas, so her first litter will not be untill next year now. She will be due back in season around March 2025 and will be mated then. I will post updates closer to the time.

So proud of our puppy. Took her to her first breed shows and she acted like a pro. Thank you Meredith Barth for breeding such a stunning girl. Glamour now has two challenges towards her title.

"HEIDESA" kennel name is back in action. I am really looking forward to producing more Heidesa pups in the future. Albeit with a different breed. There have been Shetland Sheepdogs, Pomeranians and Border Collies under this name and I will now be adding Miniature American Shepherds to the list.

Thank you to everyone who gave a Heidesa puppy a kind loving home over the nearly 40 years that I bred my beloved Shelties, Borders and Poms. I loved the time that I spent planning, delivering and raising each and everyone one of my pups and I loved meeting all the people who took one of them home and made them a member of their family.
I still love hearing all about them and so enjoy getting up dates on how they are doing. It has always filled me with a great sense of pride when the owners take the time to send me photographs and share their fun times, sad times and successes with me., so thank you.
Due to my marriage breaking down and me then choosing a different lifestyle, I have moved on with my new life. Unfortunately it is not one that allows me the time I feel is necessary to be able to raise a litter in the best possible way.
So at this point of my life I will not be breeding anymore puppies but who knows what the future will bring.

I knew this day was not far away but didn't expect it to happen so fast frown emoticon I lost my very special girl Ob Gr Ch Simply Swizz of Heidesa CDX yesterday after what appears to be a stroke. I fell in love with her the minute she was born and we had a special bond formed right from the start that has lasted over 13 years. I will miss her terribly and have buried her here as this is where she was born and where all her mates are. Another piece of my heart has been taken frown emoticon RIP special Swizz. I will never forget you my special girl :(:(

Just had the most exciting news. Marie Hankenom just made her lovely blue Merle boy Heidesa Fusion In Blue into an Obedience Champion today at North Shore Championship Obedience Show. Fusion is Tisha's litter brother so uncle to the pups Tisha currently has.
Huge congrats to Maree and Fusion and so well deserved. We are just so proud of them both :)
