I love being able to play a part in people sharing comfort, joy and love with those that they wish to uplift. Flowers may not last forever, but the feeling created in those who give and receive remains long after those blooms are spent.
A little gift of appreciation with white nite sunflowers, imperial crème marigolds, white snapdragons, chamomile, yarrow and poppy seed heads for a white flower lover this morning.
Join me for a stroll around the back garden! As with all gardens, it is a work in progress. There are messy bits, chaotic bits, random kids shoes, tools left about and washing on the line. What I know for sure is that it is possible to grow beautiful flowers in the space I have - sure, I’d froth long uniform rows of organised plantings with space for succession after succession… And I also froth making the most of the space I have. Soon I’ll be able to show you the completed front yard project I talked about at the finish of last seasons flowers. I hope that seeing what I am doing with my space inspires confidence in you that if you want something… You can absolutely do it!
Even though the garden is tired, I so love spending some quiet moments soaking up the beauty and watching all the pollinator activity. On top of the huge population of Monarchs, there is a pair of Yellow Admirals that seem to live in one part of the garden. Not to mention all the bumblebees, honey bees and other insects that have made their home in the yard. Forever fascinated and delighted by nature.
Beautiful day down here at Coronation Park, Mount Maunganui! If you’re out and about, feel free to pop in and say hello 💐
Hello friends! Welcome to the Facebook hub for Urban Blooms. The flowers are well and truly winding down for the season however I’d love to share with you more of the work I’ll be putting in over the colder months to prepare for a full market season from next spring through autumn.
My last market for this season will be The Little Big Market at Coronation Park, Mount Maunganui next Saturday, April 27th. Hope to see you there!
