Pet of the month - August -

🐈‍⬛ Louie 🐈‍⬛

This handsome 7year old Burmese is one of our first cattery customers.

He did impress us by the confidence since his first day eating well and very playful, while often cat guests would take around 2-3days to settle for confident ones slowly start eating, bit longer for shy ones.

Even we change the flavour of the cat food, even some dogs are barking next door, even our cat enthusiast children are trying to give their love, nothing can phase him 🙂

He simply loves people and did even let us trim his nail without any wiggles!!

He also tells us where he is with the cute meowing, he just makes our job easier any ways😆

We look forward to seeing you again, Louie💕

🌟 July Pet of the month 🌟

- Sophie -

Sophie (aka Monkey) is an energetic 1 year old Shi Tzu cross, who has been coming to us for daycare multiple days a week.
It was her birthday last week!! 🎉

Even though Shi Tzu is a pretty popular companion breed and we have seen a bunch of them previously, no one is as playful and feisty as Sophie! ✌🏻

She gets nervous around new people and dogs, but this regular socializing experience has been supporting her to feel more confident.

On her first day she didn’t want anyone or dogs near her being away from home, making her mom worried.
Now she happily starts her day with us, jumps onto her ride and instantly playing with her friends big and small doing zoomies 😍

She is also great at entertaining herself, in between breaks of play time.
Tag, toys, balls, sticks, paddling pool when it’s out..or even with a water bowl.. And she goes back to the play time with her friends. She loves to take advantage of her day as much as she can!!

Her happy energy is contagious, we love having you around Monkey♥️

They currently have 110 cats in care while they catch, tame, cure and treat, vaccinate and desex.

Simply caluculate, they need $11,000 PER MONTH before all the expensive vet bills.
($35 for food, $35 for litter, $20 for flea&worm treatments)

If they can get 100 more thumbs up, they can win this $1,000 prize.
Not much, but definitely what they need!!!

We're happy to deliver any cat care donations (cat food, litter,
treatments, blankets, carriers, crates, toys..you name it!) to them as well if you got some to give♥️

We would like to share wonderful news to start this week with.

In the last two weeks, 2 puppies and 2 cats in our care have found their forever homes!!

We still have Roxy and Tank waiting for their loving home, please get in touch with us if you are interested or know someone who might be interested♥️ (there’ll be more incoming later)

We couldn’t support any homeless animals without your support, so thank you very much🥰

Also special thanks to those who generously donated koha/care items, supporting us by putting up the posters Taranaki Vet Centre Pets and Patea Library Plus.

🐶Pet of the Month🐶

Jiggy, a cheerful five-year-old Border Collie mix, has been a frequent guest with us since last year. Some of you might recognize him from the article in the paper featuring him alongside us. 🙂

Despite facing challenges like losing a leg and his family, Jiggy has been rehomed with a wonderfully caring family. His focus on the positive side of life is truly inspiring. Unlike some dogs who are shy or camera-shy, Jiggy is a natural model, which is why he was featured in the paper!

From his first stay with us, Jiggy's positive and friendly demeanor has made every visit enjoyable for both himself and others. He's made countless friends, seeking out happiness and joining in whenever dogs are playing or people are having a good time. His charm doesn't go unnoticed, as everyone comments on how delightful he is.
Jiggy, you teach us that good things come when we stay positive!
