Longhair Pedigree Owners WE REALLY NEED YOU.

The Te Awamutu Longhair Judges Practical Exam is being held at St John’s Anglican Church Lounge, 162 Arawata Street, Te Awamutu on the 30th November 2024.

We require 25 + longhairs for this practical exam to go ahead. Non cat show people the breeds we are after are Persians, Exotics, Birmsns, Templecats, Ragdolls, Maine C***s, Turkish Angoras and Norwegian Forest Cats 😸

LONGHAIR BREEDERS - if you have pet owners in the and around Te Awamutu area PLEASE consider asking if they would be willing to enter their beloved baby in the Practical exam. For the purpose of the practical exam cats do have to be registered but don't necessarily have to be show quality so they can have a fault.

We know non show people won't have curtains but we can source curtains to borrow or they can use a towel for the bottom of the cage.

Companion owners if your cat is registered but has a fault that has kept it out of the pedigree section, they are able to enter this show as a Pedigree!!

It is with great sadness that we have been informed that Christine Tracey has passed away.
Our hearts go out to young Charlotte, Jo Stanners and all of Christine's family and friends.
Like a real trooper, Christine made and sent delicious date scones to our Mid Island show on May 18th, but she didn't come because she was unwell.
Her good friend, Jo Stanners delivered Christine's precious baking.
Big hugs from your friends at MICC.

NOTICE OF PENDING AGM FOR 2023/4 TO ALL MEMBERS.
We will have our AGM at the Rangiriri Hotel 8 Rangiriri Rd, Rangiriri starting at 11.30am on Sunday 18th February 2024. The meeting will be followed by lunch then afterwards the elected committee will have an ordinary meeting.

Business to be done includes:
Welcome, Roll call, Apologies, my President's Report, Elections - President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, committee.
Will then move to accept the minutes of the last AGM, with any amendments or corrections then ask for any matters arising. The last minutes were circulated to members but if you did not get my email please call or text and I arrange to get that to you.
The AGM business I have received notice of is set subscriptions for 2025. Also, it has been proposed that members who serve on and participate at our meetings and are re-elected in 2025 will have their subscription reduced.
We have 5 meetings a year and our Christmas meeting. Those members wanting to be on our committee either at committee or executive level should let me have your nominations within the next two weeks please. A simple letter signed by you accepting your nomination and two proposers will be good. I do encourage all members to consider helping the Club by serving on our committee. Hope to have some meetings via a web connection.
Membership is open to those persons making application on the club's membership form and must be ratified by the club at a committee meeting then your membership fee accepted before you can vote or become involved with the Club's activities.

Hi everyone. With kittens for some and Christmas almost here, on behalf of our Club I wish you a safe and happy Christmas.
I was very happy during our last OGM at the Rangiriri pub to present those life members present with their certificates of life membership. See photo. The last two will be winging their way to Christchurch today.
Our planning for our Show is well advanced with a booking applied for at the same expansive venue TA Stadium. Judges have all been confirmed and we look forward to releasing our schedule early in 2024.

Thank you to everyone who has entered and a special thank you to those who sensibly got their entry in under Early Bird. Late entries have been accommodated, just but it means extra work for Keryn who on Monday night was already preparing the Catalogue. Now that is delayed.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone and a warm welcome to our new members as well as those who have chosen to join us again this year. Membership fees can be paid direct to our Kiwibank account before the 31st of January.
2023 will be our 30TH "PEARL" ANIVERSARY SHOW so we have gone all out for a great Venue in association with GO WAIPA and the TA ASB STADIUM. https://www.gowaipa.com/page/asb-stadium/ click here to have a bopeep.
We will easily fit in with the floor being mostly carpeted. There is flat easy access from the 60-car carpark and cafe on site with others a short walk away.
We are delighted to confirm our judges from Australia are Jane van Dyk Melbourne Victoria (ANCATS), Theresa Imboden-Johnson Hervey Bay QSL, along with our very own Paul Henry, Emma Kimberley, Diane Holtom, Janice Davey.
We do of course regret the choice of venue 2022. The unexpected cancellation of our original site due to COVID meant having to take what was available rather than cancel our show.
With that in mind we will keep the EARLY BIRD RING ENTRY Fee open till the 1st May at just $13.00/ring.
MEMBERS will get entry at $11.00/ring with membership applications also closing on Monday 1st May. Applications made after the 31 January will be $30 double and $20 single.
Happy and successful showing for 2023 to you all.

The ASB Stadium is a top class sporting facility and is the best of its kind in the greater Waipa region. The facility seats up to 800 spectators and can be used for a variety of events or sporting activities.

3rd place is now 216 not 220

9th Place is now 220 not 219

This change does not affect the overall result with 216 retaining 3rd place in the Supreme Results.

MICC 2022 SHOW ACCESS & PARKING PLAN

Here is the site plan for our Show Venue indicating parking and walk access to the show entry. There is limited Disabled Parking Reserved (2 of 4 spaces remain)- must contact to Show Manager please (0274494301) Like Hamilton this is a walk in access from the end of the building. The stairs at the other end are not recommended - best to walk it please.
Plan to drop off at the end of the walkway then find a park. All questions to the Show Manager Jan please.
