This beautiful girl is Kazzi 😍 She has joined us to work on her physical wellbeing after her family noticed she was trembling in the hindlimbs, was offloading after having a toe amputation, and was struggling to jump up and down off her favourite perch on the couch!
After a thorough veterinary checkup and diagnostics, she is now having regular therapeutic massages to promote her musculoskeletal health.

Jerry has incredibly gorgeous, expressive eyes and he uses them to have the most fantastic conversations when I visit! He also has the most endearing smile... it's impossible not to love this guy ❤🐾

I visited Tufan recently, after he was treated at the emergency vets for snail bait toxicity.

He presented with lethargy, weakness and ataxia, so we began with our manual lymphatic drainage techniques in order to help him eliminate the residual toxins from his system.

After the first session he was immediately more alert and engaged, and his gait had improved markedly.

For the second session we worked the muscles and joints to ensure he maintained his muscle tone, movement and flexibily after being immobile. Tufan was almost back to his normal self by this stage, so I demonstrated some simple, yet effective massage techniques for the family to continue his treatment at home.

What a fantastic outcome after a very scary episode for Tufan and his family...a timely reminder for all of us to keep toxic substances well out of reach of our pets!

Smudge has been a client for a while now, but over the last several weeks I have been working specifically to support his recovery and rehabilitation post forelimb surgery.

It was a major procedure that has not only fused his carpal (wrist) joint, but also attempted to straighten the limb due to a bone malformation.

He had undergone corrective surgery in the other forelimb as a puppy and as a result his gait pattern was very lopsided. We had previously been working on making him more comfortable due to his chronic pain, and using a variety of bodywork techniques on the compensatory muscles to ensure he had been able to be as mobile as possible.

We are now focussed on the acute healing stage of the second surgery, so manual lymphatic drainage and gentle musculoskeletal massage to keep his mind and body well while he has been on strict crate rest. As he is slowly allowed to increase his activity, we will work on strengthening the muscles that have begun to suffer from wastage, as well as ensuring his joint mobility is maintained safely through passive range of motion exercises.

Massage and bodywork is an amazing tool to support healing on so many levels.... Smudge absolutely loves his sessions, and I love being able to help speed up the recovery process 😍

Sometimes there are just no words... this is one of those times! For the last week I have been struggling to find the right thing to say for a post that will do justice to HRH Kaney Kane, the Bestest Beasty Boy, but it seems that I am at a complete loss. Rest in love darling boy, fly high, run free... you are loved beyond measure, and that love and devotion from your Mum will never, ever wane! I feel blessed to have known you, thank you for everything you have shown me, not least of all, your patience, strength and resilience. My miracle girl has defied the odds again! Just when we thought it was the end, she has decided that she wanted more time to play! So our bucket list continues.... Each day is a blessing and so we live each moment with gratitude and joy. I love my little Small with the biggest love imaginable!
