Due to a cancellation we have decided to offer a FREE rider spot to our cattle working and Horsemanship clinic this weekend! (7 and 8th Oct).
We have 2 amazing clinicians (Gerry Johnstone and Gemma Williams-Gray) and an outstanding venue with all aspects of cattle work being done! So if you have ever thought you fancied yourself a cowboy/girl then this could be your chance. Any stage any breed of horse and any discipline is welcome to enter.
Conditions of entry are that at the time of the clinic you must be a financial member of RVHA-NZ (If you win you will need to sign up). Don't worry, our membership fee is super reasonable and we offer lots of ongoing training and club events so you will surely get your monies worth.
You must be available to ride both the Saturday and Sunday sessions and transport yourself and your horse to the venue (North Canterbury, Copper Creek).
You will need to pay for your own yard/stable / camp fees at Copper Creek.

We have our new SOCIAL DAY organised for the South Island.
• 4TH JULY 2021 •
Location: Copper Creek Quarter Horses
Start time: 10.30am
Ranch riding will be set up in the arena, with poles, bridges and gates to play with.
If the weather is good too, we’ll be tracking around a dummy cow practising how to “circle a cow” with your horse.
We are also so fortunate to have Tracey from Seahorse Supplements donate her time to come and talk to us about gut health for horses and the importance in how to manage it!

Our aim at RVHA-NZ is to start running cattle clinics to get our members ready for when we start running Rein Cowhorse classes at our shows.
🐂 This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn from two of NZ’s talented Cutting Horse Trainers Gemma Williams-Gray and Grant Mackie on how they train their horses with the mechanical flag in preparation to work cattle with their horses. 🐂

We also own a beautiful quarter horse stallion named Copper, and many broodmares so we breed Quarter Horses and have a few young colts for sale from time to time.
