Lavender Hill provides a peaceful getaway to soothe and relax away from the hustle, bustle and crowds.

We farm and produce our own lavender products, limoncello and local gin from our farm. Set in a mixed lavender, olive and lemon farm in rolling hills just north west of Auckland, Lavender Hill has views of the Auckland Harbour and Riverhead Forest. We are the only lavender farm Auckland has that offers bed and breakfast accommodation, conferences facilities and gorgeous locations for wedding photo shoots as well as lavender products and farm tours.

From Lavender Hill

We are excited to announce the release of our 2024 Sloe Gin. This is our only seasonal gin as it is made from hand picked plums that are steeped in 96% alcohol for a minimum of 3 months. This steeping process extracts the delicious flavours and colours from the plums.

We use our new London Dry Gin as the base gin. Enjoy the fruit flavours from the plums mixing with our natural botanicals.

We are proud to make our gins in a very sustainable way. Our gin still, Little Lottie, uses solar power from our 10kw solar system and we only blend with 100% pure rainwater. Our botanicals are all-natural, including lemon peel and rosemary from the farm. Any waste botanicals are put into our compost and dug back into the gardens. While discussing our approach to a major tourism company we could say that after making a batch of delicious gin...there was literally nothing that went into a bin or taken away from the farm as waste!

Last year we installed our gin still, Little Lottie, a 150-litre commercial gin still that allows us to produce our gin on site straight from farm to glass.

Our still runs on renewable solar power and uses pure rainwater harvested right here on our farm ensuring our products are as sustainable as they are delicious ☀️🍸

Have you ever seen lavender being distilled before? Here is some action from our steam still last month after our lavender harvest. We operate the largest steam still in Auckland, and help process lavender for half a dozen other farms in the Auckland area. There are 3 by-products in the steam distillation process: the 'cooked' flowers (used in the compost), hydrosol (water with 1% oil mixed in it) and 100% pure lavender oil - all of which is used on the farm in some way!
