Hi everyone,

Unfortunately we have had a neutered tabby and white DSH who isn’t microchipped brought into the clinic. He is estimated to be between the age of 2-4 years old. Sadly he was hit by a car and is deceased.

He was found down Jones Road

Tips for Guy Fawkes 🎆

As we approach firework season, it’s important to ensure our fur babies feel safe and comfortable. Fireworks can cause anxiety, stress & lead to panicked escape attempts!

1: Ensure your pet's microchip details are registered & up to date. 📝

2: Create a safe space - provide a quiet, cosy space for your pet to relax or hide. 🐱

3: Walk dogs earlier in the day before the sun sets. 🐕

4: Keep pets indoors - Shut windows, doors and curtains. Try calming music! 🎵

5: Distraction - Treats, toys, blankets & lots of cuddles to help them through. 🥰

6: Calmex / Pheromone products - There are options available at the clinic to help relieve stress for pets during this time. 🐈

Recently, we’ve seen comments online suggesting that we have funding to treat wildlife.

Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Private practices do NOT get funding, we provide care and treatment for wildlife with our own time and out of our own pockets.

We appreciate your support and understanding 🤗

Established wildlife hospitals around the country also have to apply for grants and rely on donations and volunteers. If you want to support wildlife care, donate to your local wildlife hospital!

Today Harley saved the day by donating blood to another dog who was in need of a blood transfusion 🩸🐶🐾

He was such a brave boy and got spoilt rotten by the team after his donation with lots of treats 🥰

This week we said goodbye to our beloved clinic cat, Dot. In her short time with us, she became a true member of the SVC team. Her crunchy and charismatic (albeit demanding) presence will be missed by us all 🥰 Hopefully there are plenty of heated discs for you to nap on over the rainbow bridge.

You may remember Dot who was found by a member of the public a few months ago. She's now our much loved clinic cat who is earning her keep. Here she is at work providing moral support and a comfortable place to hang out for baby magpie Pepe who was found with a broken wing last week 🥰

Due to continued staff shortages courtesy of Covid, we will continue consulting outside to minimise risk to the public and to our remaining healthy team, plus it helps control the flow of people in our compact and bijou building. Will keep you guys updated and thank you for your continued patience and understanding. Attached is a photo of wee Harley, a beautiful Mastiff puppy during her vaccination check up enjoying her chicken treats and cuddles.
