My girl Kirana at the Dog Swim Spa. We are working on confidence building and fitness.
Such an awesome facility and its great supporting another local business. We are looking forward to our weekly sessions 🐕🐾🐕
A short clip of our two current board and train dogs working on their confidence in new environments 🐶
Both of these boys are doing really well with their confidence building and leash manners.
If any companies in the Selwyn area would be happy to let us walk our board & train dogs around on their premises, please message us. We really appreciate all the help and support 🧡
A quick video showing some features of the impact collapsible dog crates. These crates come in three styles: stationary, collapsible and high anxiety. Each style comes in multiple sizes and a variety of colours.
More information to come soon, if you have any questions flick us a message 🐶
Here's a couple of dogs absolutely loving the slat mill 🐶💪
Running on the slat mill is a great way to burn energy and tire out a dogs brain. It is also a great activity for confidence building.
⭐️Powered by the dog, so the dog sets the speed and the pace
⭐️ Dogs are clipped in with a harness for safety
⭐️ The dog has the ability to stop and start on their own at any point
If you are interested in using our slat mill, or would like this incorporated into your dogs daycare day, flick us a message to learn more ☺️
Hi everyone, time for an introduction post as we head into 2024!
Shaun here, I get asked a lot what my background is in the animal industry. It is quite different to a lot of people out there.
My experience varies from:
-Carnivore Keeper at Hamilton Zoo
-Lead Keeper of Carnivores at Orana Wildlife -Park
-Animal Control Management as team leader in Hamilton.
-Ambulance driver SPCA (night Shift)
-Volunteered in Thailand as team leader of Tigers and Bears
-Volunteered at Australia Wildlife Hospital
-Rolly Canine Dog Training (Part time 2016)
-Rolly Canine Dog Training (Full time 2023)
This is a short video of me doing conditioning work on a Tiger for a voluntary blood draw from the tail. This is a great way to do health checks without the animal needing to be sedated. This is all voluntary, the tiger can decide to leave area if it wants too. This reduces stress on the tiger and improves their wellfare.
I love working with animals of all kinds and have a wide variety of experience. I’m really grateful for all of the support Rolly Canine has received, especially since taking the big leap of faith and going full time. Cant wait to see what opportunities 2024 has 🐾
(Thank you Hamilton Zoo for letting me share this video🙂)
❤️Happy daycare group 💤🐾💤🐾
Another great board and train success story 🐾
This boy here had minimal socialisation, and likely had bad experiences with dogs previously.
When he first arrived he was incredibly anxious and terrified of dogs. He displayed reactive behaviour due to his fear of other dogs.
During his stay we worked on teaching him that dogs are nothing to worry about and slowly built up his confidence. He is now a completely different dog to when he first arrived! 🐾
This big boy has come leaps and bounds with his training. He’s almost at the end of his Board and Train, and he can now socialise with dogs and is no longer reactive on a leash when he sees a dog 😊
From a dog who was reactive out of fear to a now confident and happy boy! He hasn’t quite worked out how to play with other dogs yet, that will come in time as he continues to build his confidence 🐾
Gorgeous boy Louie from our previous post had his first day in doggy daycare today! He had lots of fun 😊
He’s now coming out of his shell and starting to play which is awesome to see! He’s doing incredibly well 🐶
He’s been through a lot of confidence building before socialising in this video. His confidence has been increasing each day that he’s been with us.
A big thank you to everyone who offered for us to bring Louie into their businesses! We’ll start organising times for visits soon 🐾
