My name is Chloe! I am a travelling vet from Vancouver Island, Canada. I am excited to meet everyone and their pets! My favourite animals to see at the clinic are senior dogs and cats. I am here in New Zealand for 7 months and have so far been loving my time here. My favourite things to do are exploring nature - hiking and enjoying all the beaches I can and wandering to a local coffee shop to indulge my new love for flat whites.

Introducing Alona who started work at Central City Vets in June 2024. Originally from Ukraine, Alona has been living in New Zealand for last 12 years. After graduating from University in Ukraine and completing American Veterinary Exam, Alona worked in an equine hospital in Cambridge. Despite enjoying her time working with horses, Alona wanted to broaden her skills in small animal medicine and jumped into the opportunity to join the team at CC Vets.
In her spare time Alona enjoys trail running and mountain biking with her dog Casper.

🧬 The levels of Cyanobacteria can change quickly so it is important to check health warnings, nearby signage and any visible signs of blue-green algae before coming into contact with the water

🐕 Animals can be particularly sensitive to Cyanobacteria toxins and can become quite ill, quickly. It is important to keep animals out of the water when walking near the affected areas
