New Litter Update... πππ§‘
[I just wrote this so I have a copy to send to be enquiries]
SOFIE and SAVANNA are fully sisters from the same litter and are technically COCKALIERS β with an F1 Cavoodle Father and F1 Spoodle Mother. With Harry as the father of their litters. Their puppies will be COCKALIER TOY POODLES.
First generation CAVOODLES and SPOODLES are likely to moult which is why we breed our dogs "BACK" to a TOY POODLE to keep them hypoallergetic and non-moulting.
The COCKER SPANIEL is generally quite active and loves the water / trips to the beach or river, but also loves to play on grassy fields.
The CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL provides a placid aspect but can be prone to putting on weight. We do not think they are as bright, so the combination with the TOY POODLE provides added intelligence.
Some pups may appear more Poodle-like, while others more Spaniel. Therefore, it is impossible to predict a pup's exact size or coat as it matures. We can confirm, they will not be any bigger than their parents.
We recommend you visit if you can, to experience the calm temperament of our breeding dogs. If you cannot visit us in Sefton, North Canterbury, it isn't an issue as I post very regularly and we are competent transparent. Check out our page LITTLE COUNTRY BEARS.
The amount of grooming required depends on the type of coat each pup inherits. All will require some form of grooming and clipping, with their curly, non-shedding coat, as it will not fall out.
We consider the COCKALIER TOY POODLE to be a perfect puppy for most family lifestyles and will be beautiful little dogs. Fantastic with children (and cats) as they are quite small but also reasonably active and happy to run around the house or backyard.
As with all long-eared dogs, their ears need cleaning regularly to prevent infection. Their eyes should also be cleaned to prevent build-up of eye discharge.
Delivery anywhere in NZ is easily arranged with A4 Dibble Transportβ .
SOFIE and HARRY'S Litter is "expected"
27th March and puppies will be ready for their new homes on 23 May.
SAVANNA and HARRY'S Litter is "expected" 22 April and puppies will be ready for their new homes on 20th June.
This will be SAVANNA'S last litter.
All our puppies are $2500. We are ok with visits from 2 days after their birth - and have a weekly visit time on a Saturday morning, at 10am.
Training Information will be provided so if you are a first time dog owner, or have had a dog before, we are sure you will learn something new.
Our hope is for every LITTLE COUNTRY BEAR to be healthy, attractive and bright with an exceptional temperament and excellent basic training.
All our puppies leave with their own crate and will have slept in it a MINIMUM of 3 nights. HOPEFULLY, they will be fully crate trained. Some take to it quicker than others. At least they should be used to sleeping in it. It's easier for me to do the first 3 nights as most new owners get up to their new puppies up during the first few nights and "undo" all the preparations we have put in place.
All puppies will be well socialised, trained to a cat door, used to cats and running with our other 12 dogs and various puppies. All puppies go outside at 5 weeks and are trained to freedom.
If you would like to visit or ring for a chat. Please feel free.

Be warned, I can talk. I'm passionate about our breeding.
Every breeding dog is DNA Tested. We do not breed again after a caesarean, if the mother does not enjoy the experience. We do not breed off any dogs with an under or over shot jaws or any health issues. We video their first vet visits so you see exactly what is said. Totally upfront and transparent.
THE END π
