Thank you Horsewyse Saddlery for sponsoring the Un-Registered classes. All pace getters received vouchers and Champion and Reserve received a lovely gear bag and hay bag. Congratulations to Bella Drayton on Willow for Champion and Toni Coulter on VIP for Reserve. Toni was not available for the prizegiving so our expert rosette stand-in Sally Howe-Stirton is in the photo instead.

And that is the Taihape Christmas Champs done and dusted for another year. Well done to everyone who rode and we hope you had a great competition as well as lots of fun. Thank you to everyone who helped the event to run so smoothly.

Thank you to all the wonderful riders who have already offered to help with writing. I am working on the draw to make sure everyone has plenty of time between riding and writing. But I am still short a few writers. So if you would like to do some writing let me know and I will make sure you have great start times around your writing times. The bonus is that we have Santa Hats and chocolates for everyone who helps.

We have great entries for the Christmas Champs which is really exciting!

I am busy working on the draw and yarding at the moment. Sadly some riders have not yet paid their entry fees which were due last week. If they are not paid ASAP you won't be put in the draw and you definitely won't be getting a covered yard!!!

Thank you to those riders who have already paid, you make the life of an Event Secretary so much easier!!!!

"The Grass Circuit Series is back. For levels from Unregistered to Advanced Medium, compete in the "B" test for your level at Southern Hawkes Bay Premier League, Taihape Christmas Champs and Taranaki Premier League to be in to win the circuit champion. Champion sashes, rugs and sponsor product for the winners. Many thanks to Barn and Anvil and Dunstan Horsefeeds for supporting this series again this season.

We had our AGM last night and in between lots of laughter and sadly no snowball fights we made a few decisions. The main one being that the date for our Christmas Champs will now be 14-15 December 2024 and we are going to be working very hard to keep the entry costs as low as possible. Which is why we have decided to call our event "A Champagne Event on a Beer Budget". So put the date in you diary and come along and have fun!

The Taihape Dressage AGM is on 18 June, 6pm at the Fastlane in Waiouru. If we are lucky we can have a snowball fight outside after the meeting! So come along and have fun!
