We wished Keelin Macdonald and Aila a teary farewell this week ❤️ as they head to Ireland 🇮🇪 for a few months of family, friends and adventures.

We have an amazing team of vets on hand to take care of you and your equine friends.

If you have previously called Keelin's phone, can you please ensure that you contact us on 0273332042, as Keelin does not have her work phone with her while she's on holiday 😀.

Keelin will return to our Taupo Clinic in time to foal this beautiful mare who she played a part in getting pregnant ❤️ 🦄

Hey guys 😃

As some of you are aware our Taupo clinic has merged with the Waikato clinics. This merger caused issues with the January invoices; a lot did not send. This has now presented the problem of your February invoice arriving with just a figure for an outstanding January amount. If you require a breakdown of your January invoice can you please reply to the February invoice via email, or call 07 827 5570 and ask to speak to Courtenay 😃.

We are checking horses for gastric ulcers, which are common in sport horses.

Signs can vary but common things include;
🐴change in behaviour
🐴girthiness
🐴fussy eating
🐴 loss of body condition
to mention a few.

👥 Client Evening 👥

To celebrate turning 1 year old Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre Taupo will be holding an evening of talks on the 20th of October at the National Equestrian Centre - Hunt Room.
We have lined up some of our vets to give some talks on a variety of Spring appropriate topics:

•Dr Alec Jorgensen will be speaking on pre/early season conditioning for the equine athlete.
•Dr Noel Power will outline everything you need to know if you’re thinking of breeding your mare
•Dr Keelin MacDonald will give a run down on all things foaling- what to expect and how to avoid disasters.

Client evenings are a great way to meet the local vets, gain some valuable equine knowledge and meet other members of the equine community.
Beverages and finger food will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there 🐴
