Submissions are now being collected for proposed changes to clubs and ranges legislation.

The Act Party campaigned on repealing Part 6 of the Arms Act entirely. For whatever reason, this has been dialed back to an amendment bill. There is no reason to dress these regulations up and keep them. Shooting clubs and ranges have never been a problem for New Zealand.

The FOUNZ team believes that this bill to amend Part 6 of the Arms Act should proceed, but should reset regulations back to where they were in 2019.

Part 2 of the Bill transfers responsibility of the Arms Act away from the Minister of Police to the Minister in Charge of the Act.
We support this and recommend it be supported in your submission.

Last weekend saw our annual national taxidermy competition held in Taupo.
Some fine craftsmanship on display.
Fairly please with the results, taking out the masters in game head division with this clients Tahr.
Sculpted on our own custom manikin.

Yesterday we had a special young hunter Kirk De Ridder and his lovely family visit the studio.
A fellow taxidermist from the South Island asked if we could help out.
Had put together a sika hunt for Kirk on Ngamatea. 👌
As one of his dream hunts was to hunt sika.

Well that’s 2023 all wrapped up for us Art Ltd. What a year it’s been!…our busiest since 2007 .
We’d like thank everyone for their trust and support during the year.
That being said , its been a tough one!
Firstly : with a backlog of mounts going into the year due to mainly material crisis , as our main items are imported from USA . Then with a new season work load arriving ! .
But it was our situation and we had to do our best , as we put our heart and soul into what we do and produce .
Secondly: Have had things happening out side business that has required time and support .
All this wouldn’t of been done without the support of a few key people, My wife Karina ❤️, and my talented right hand man Mick Bates👌and couple of other helpers Jaden and Chris 🙏.
Also Lake Taupo Chiropractic for keeping us in the top performance🙌
We endeavour to work through and get everything completed shortly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and look forward to catching up soon.
