It is with annoyance that last night someone decided to break the lock on our deer gate and help themselves to the NEC side by side.
NEC has a great team that keeps the place moving forward, many of whom are volunteers and do it on our own time and at our own expense, so acts like this are just real crap.
We have security cameras, and will add more that move randomly.
Appreciate if people can keep an eye out and help us in getting it back.

Colin, Toni, and I joined the Bayleys Sheepdog Trials team yesterday to present a substantial donation to The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter team.
NEC Taupo collaborates with Bayleys Taupo to support this great cause by hosting the annual sheepdog trials at our venue as our yearly charity contribution.

Yesterday we had the privilege of delivering an incredible $30,000 donation to the awesome staff at The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter - right here in Taupo!

Again, a massive thank you to all those who sponsored, volunteered, and competed in the 2024 Bayleys Sheep Dog Trials. We could not have done this without you.

Hi to all our Schoolers and Stopovers,
NEC Taupo would like to let you know we have a slightly new system for our Casual Users. Please check here on Facebook first to see if the venue is open, as during larger events it is closed for casual users, and also see if the Cross Country course is open for schooling.
Once you have done that can you please book through our new Google Doc, (https://forms.gle/87z4iYP3H5sNQxFNA) on this simple form you can let us know what date, how many horses, yarding, etc, and then have the option of paying via POLi or online banking.
Please give it a go, it is a new idea and we will change it to suit if need be. Please contact me (Cathy) on 027 237 5417 or [email protected] with any queries about this process - hopefully, this works well for all involved.

XC IS OPEN!

XC IS OPEN ! Lots of fences around the place! Just stay away from fences that have a board attached to them, these are not for jumping and also the main splash and water are closed. As usual no schooling through the forest and stick to the xc area, no jumping past the tapes. Enjoy!

New Arena

Nearly there!! All hands on deck today!

NIGHT LIGHTS START THIS WEEK!

Want to get some riding in after work/school but lack of daylight or shoddy wintery weather hindering your ride time?? Come down to night lights at NEC! Tues and Thurs nights 6-8pm. Cost is $30 per horse which covers your ground fee and indoor use. Lights will be on in indoor and in walled arena yards area. This is a casual use arrangement, there could be no other people riding, there could be a group of people. We aren't taking bookings, just turn up. The lights outside also sufficiently light up the waxed surface arena to ride in. Some weeks there will be fences up some weeks the indoor will be empty. Few simple rules... -No lunging inside -No horses tied to railing -No hay inside -No riding and leading -All muck must be removed off surfaces and out of yards -Be considerate of others riding in the arena with you.
