Well that is a wrap

This post has taken a while to write 😢 lots of tears. I will try and keep this as short as possible.

That is my full time grooming career come to an end.

Where do I begin to explain how much this has ment to me.

I started my grooming career on the 20th of January 2020, after only 7 weeks of work BANG Lockdown for 5-6weeks for a new business going into lockdown was definitely a massive challenge but got through came out of lockdown for 3 months then BANG another lockdown. Definitely not an easy first year of business 2020. I am immensely greatfull to all my clients that suck with me through all of that. I was only able to continue because of these people and for that I will be forever greatfull.

Grooming is definitely not what I was expecting. Some welfare cases I have seen really made me stop and think "why am I doing this?" I feel for the dogs I have groomed that had mats so severe that I had to shave them bald in places. Some dogs whule trying to get these knots/matts off they have tryed to bite me which i dont blame them for as i am pulling the matts slighty to get underneath to get them off. But just had to remind myself I am helping make there lives better.

I want to take this opportunity to thank ever single one of my clients 🙏. Thank you for entrusting me to look after and groom your beautiful babies. I treat all my client dogs like my own dogs. I get attached to my clients and there dogs. When the dogs have passed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge it hits me very hard as if I have lost one of my own fur babies.

Well I think I need to leave it there.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported me over the years in this business you all know who you are.

Hello everyone.

This has taken me a long time to write as this is a bitter sweet post

I will try to keep this short and simple.
I will be finishing grooming start of next year. I have had a new job opportunity, one that is to good to pass up. So the 20th of January 2023 will be my last day as a groomer. If anyone wants their dogs done prior to this get in contact in the next few weeks.

I have had an amazing career as a groomer and am definitely sad that it is coming to an end but also very happy i got to know you all and your beautiful doggies. I thank you for sticking with me over the years as it has not been an easy road. Started 2020 only groomed for 7 weeks when the first covid lockdown happened. And have gotten through 3 lockdowns since I started this business and that was no easy feet.
If I haven't told you this news I am sorry I have so many clients it is hard to know or remember who I have told and who I haven't. I will only be continuing grooming a few select dogs. Dogs that I know will either not cope going to another groomer because of their age or have issue while being groomed and I have finally got them to a point they are comfortable with being groomed. The dogs I will continue grooming the owners all know who they are

Ollie had his first groom with me today. He did so well for a 15 week old puppy. A few little things to work on but all in all he handled it like a pro. Loved working with you Ollie 💙💙

Floyd feels a whole lot lighter after all his but fluff knots are gone and his grinch feet are no loner grinch feet. Love you Floyd. I may be biased but Floyd has a very special place in my heart as he is related to one of my dogs Maldy. Floyd is Maldy half brother who can see the family resemblance???? ❤💙

Makes my job so much easier with big dogs when they are so complient. Zac is always a breese to get in the trailer he walks straight in no issue at all. He is such a cool dog

Hunter always has so much to say when I groom him. And if I take my eyes off him for a second he is not shy to tell me I need to keep eyes on him the whole groom. Love you hunter

Another story of a dog that has come a long way

This is Grizzly. From what I understand he is never been a fan of being groomed and was told he may have to be muzzled as he is 12 years old and can be a grumpy old man. Doesnt like his ears being touched or feet being handled

So today Grizzly was quite matted so had to do him short all over to make him more comfortable. He even had alot of mats in and around his paw pads.

Grizzly has never showen me any aggression what so ever I can near enough do anything to him and he doesn't mind in the slightest. He was so good. The only issue he has was me putting a purple happy Hoodie on him silly me I should have known he is a big tough boy and doesn't want anyone to see him with a girl colored happy hoddie on.

This is one of the main reasons do the job I do. To help owners and their dogs.

This is Macey. When I first met Macey she was terrified of having her leg/nails done. It took alot of time and lots of patience to get her to the video below.
When I first met Macey all I needed to do was touch her shoulder and she would panic. My guess was she had been quicked (when clipping dogs nails someone cut to much and made them blead which is very painfull for the dog) so was very foot shy because of this. So desided with her owner she needed alot of work to get her comfortable with being touched all over her body down her legs to eventually get to her nails. I don't want to make a dog do anything they are not comfortable with so i try and work with the dog to trust me and allow me to do the job. So with this in mind we did 3 sessions a week for 6 weeks straight every time she would get more and more comfortable but would take 30 minutes to do 2 feet then Macey would need to get out and walk around to then finish the other 2 feet. I bought one of my dogs along to show Macey it is not very scary at all she eventually got it after weeks and weeks of praise and ALOT of treats we got through all 4 paws and every nail was able to be done. Now Macey gets so excited to see me and have her nails done so long as she gets plenty of love,licks and treats. Her owner has done amazing in helping Macey get over her fear of having her nails done. I can only do so much in a session with a dog so it really helps me when the owner is so involved and wanting to get the best out their dog.

I love seeing Macey and the reaction I get, as you can see from the video I think she loves me as well 😄

George had his first grooming appointment with me today. He was a perfect gentleman stood like a rock and don't move until was asked to the only thing he wanted wad cuddles and loads of kissing through his groom but I was more then happy to give him as many kisses as I could. How could I not. Look at that face 😍😍😍

Mr Moro did great today for his second groom with me. His first groom I was thi king I may need hearing aids at the end 😆. There was lost of crying. Today however was like Moro was a different dog. He was so well behaved did not cry once. Not as bad as you first thought hay Moro.
