Meet Joey, The Nanday Conure and new edition to the family. Sorry folks but Joey isn't a rescue and was purchased by my daughter today. I went along with my daughter to help transport Joey and his Cages to her home.

Just an update:

Sorry it's been a while, have been super busy.
We currently have No parrots up for rehoming as they have be adopted. But when any more come in then I will post them up for all to see and then if your interested in adopting please pm me.
Feel free to put your own posts up of your feathered friends as we would love to see them to keep the page on social media and to help get page followers and likes.

For anyone who is offering a bird up for adoption because circumstances have changed feel free to place an add and post it to our page.

As we have birds coming in needing either rehabilitation or rehoming, we are looking for donations of Bird cages, toys, feeder trays etc. So if you have any of these items laying around that's no longer in use and you would like to Donate them for a good cause, we would love to take them off of your hands . 😀 Please send us a message if you have anything you would like to donate. ❤️

Buddy is our new addition to the house hold. He such a sweety and loves out of cage time 😊. Buddy came to us as his family could no longer give him the attention he needed.

So this page will be monitored for such scammers and their Ads will not be excepted if their profiles are fake or on Private.

Any Member wanting to join and or place an Ad, or Update the Group Members with Pictures and Videos of your New Adopted Bird you must be residing in NZ and be excepted by Admin first!!

Placing an AD:

We know it's a difficult decision too rehome any feathered friend, and a change in circumstances can be devastating, not only too the Owners but too the birds as well which can be Stressful. So anyone wanting to Offer a home to any bird listed on this page, you must make the bird's transition as quiet and relaxed as possible and give the bird some time to adjust to its new home and surroundings .

So please if you are forced to make such a decision make sure your bird is going to the right knowledgeable home and vet the new possible owners as best as you can, especially if Rehoming Parrots as they have a long life span ranging from 20-30yrs onwards.

Placing an Ad.

When placing an Advert for Rehoming Please Put up a clear Picture/s of the Bird or Birds with as much detail about them and their requirements as possible, What area in NZ you live in and who you feel would be an ideal match!
Is the bird/birds Free to a good home or stipulate "PM for Enquiries" if there's an asking price taking into consideration that a pet bus may be required to transport if there's a distance involved to the new owner and be Willing to 'except Pet bus' as an alternative means of transport, given that Petrol Prices are so High.

Please be Honest when trying to rehome your feathered babies, and be Honest if your placing a wanted Ad and stipulate what breed of bird your looking for, what Town/ City Region you live and give some info about yourself .

This Page can be used to Advertise unwanted 2nd hand bird cages, Avery's and Bird toys etc.

It can also be used as a Parrot and Bird Community Question and Support Page to help others with their Birds in times of need. But PLEASE NO BULLYING or Nasty comments or this could result in you being removed from the Group Page.
So please be mindful and respectful when offering Advise to those seeking it.
