Free entry.
$17kg for pick-your-own. $22kg for picked blueberries when available
EFT-POS and cash only. No credit. No paywave.
The road looks very different because of the roundabout being built, but we’re still here. Park on the lane outside our place, on the grass.
Open until late March or we run out of blueberries

Hi,
We had a fabulous day on Saturday, but we have been picked out. We have only picked berries available now. We will reopen for picking on the 20th of January.

SOFT LAUNCH: EARLY-OPENING BLUEBERRY PICKING THIS WEEKEND THRU THURSDAY
We have a few of the first blueberries ready!
Not huge amounts but they are too good to go to waste.
So, with that in mind, you are welcome to come out this weekend.
9am-5pm. Free entry is back! $17kg to pick your own. 17 Redwood Lane. Cash only for now, but EFT-POS when we officially open on Monday the 20th January.
To avoid getting picked out, we’ll close next weekend (Fri 17- Sun19 Jan), then we’re open in full!
BTW Redwood Lane has been torn up to make a big roundabout. Don’t worry. Driving in here is not as bad as it looks.
Parking has changed, though. We’re trying to make other arrangements, but for now could you please park a bit further down Redwood Lane on the grass? Thank you. We’re looking forward to seeing you.

Hi, Yes we will be open this season from the 20th of January. There will be no entry fee this year as we missed seeing some of our favourite families. Blueberries will be $17 Redwood Lane RD1 Tauranga 3171 a kilo.we look forward to seeing you in the New Year

THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY SEASON. NOW IT’S HUNT-THE-BLUEBERRY TIME.
There are still some berries out there. They are small and a bit hard to find, but they are very tasty. So we’re going to call it Closed online, but you’re welcome to come and hunt the blueberry. No entry fee. $15kg. 9am-5pm. Thank you for your kind and generous support this season 💙💙🫐🫐

AUTUMN IS FREEZER SEASON
Blueberries taste best picked fresh. Pick your berries at Redwood Lane this weekend, before the storm.

Friday evening blueberry picking. Avoid the heat … and the traffic. Pick until 7pm.
Then head to McLaren Falls Park for a picnic dinner and the glow worm loop walk to the waterfall. As long as you’re in the park before 7.30pm they won’t lock you out – and you can drive out any time.

That’s the Glow Worms Waterfall loop in red. There’s parking right there by the restrooms.

Blueberries and glow worms. Fun! 🫐🧺💡

🫐🫐🫐Three small news items from the ever-changing world of pick-your-own spray-free blueberries:

Evening picking tomorrow night (Friday 9th) until 7.30pm so you don’t get too hot or stuck in the traffic.

Entry fee says $5 per person, but we’re only charging $2 for under-5s and free for under 2s.

If you don’t want to pay an entry fee, you can come and hang out, and buy picked berries in $10 packs @ $22kg. That’s quite a bit less than supermarket fresh blueberries this week ($28kg)

$5 entry

With higher costs, overheads etc our little blueberry patch needs either higher prices or an entry fee. We’re trying an entry fee: just $5 per person, for the lovely experience of picking your own sprayfree blueberries in nature just out of Tauranga, at $15 per kg.

That means you only have to pick 250g each to beat the supermarket price. Pick 1kg and that’s half the supermarket price.

This is just something we have to do. Thanks for understanding.

PS. We’re just a small place, so after Anniversary weekend the next wave of berries needs a bit of time to ripen (and sun, please). So, if you’re happy to hunt, come along – otherwise perhaps you can try in a week or so. Thanks.
