Highlight of the week:
• Some easier runs with traffic since people have begun to finish up at work for the year!
• Some perfect weather days - not too hot, for the pups!
• Being unbelievably spoilt by my owners and pooches 🥹
• Having Emma to give extra snugs to the babies and also give me a bit of a breather during the day if I need!

Lowlights of the week:
• I’m definitely feeling that end of year exhaustion - but we are on the home stretch!

Pupil of the week:
• Sadie - we’ll both Sadie’s actually! Both Sadie the Seal and Sadie the boxer are super welcoming and can integrate with any pooches on board 🥰

I cannot thank my owners enough for all of the gifts, kind words, laughs and cuddles I’ve had over this last week. I feel beyond spoilt 🥹🤍 thank you, thank you, thank you!

My holiday days (27, 30 and 3) are now full as I’m going to operate on my own and give Emma a nice wee holiday break. Just a reminder for next Monday and Tuesday - there’s still space on those days if you want to shuffle your pooches in there so they don’t miss out for the next few weeks 🙏

Hi, My name is Rolex and I may look intimidating but I am a super kind and sweet woofer. 🐶

I am a Sharpei X, therefore I have the cutest rolley face 😍

As soon as I got out to the farm my favourite thing to do was zoom everywhere while trying to catch the ball with my friends. 🎾

I took such a liking to Maia, Luna, Ziggy and my other Sharpei X furry friend Beau.

Highlight of the week:
• Emma joined the gang! Now all the babies have a new fun aunty to help out a few days a week 🤝
• My booking app is being made as we speak. This will mean you can book in your pooches days and shift them around if you need too! You can upload your vaccination records, it will send both you and I vaccination reminders. You will also electronically sign an agreement which will be stored in the app to cover our rules and regulations. Plus, all of your pooches photos will be stored in an album on the app under your pooches own personal profile! Invoicing will also be organised via the app as well so I’ll let all my owners know when we will be launching it (in the new year) 🥰
• I’m enjoying the cooler temp and I think the dogs are too. Last week was horrifically warm and I was genuinely worried about some of the dogs getting heat stroke and being dehydrated. 🥹

Lowlights of the week:
• Traffic is still my main frustration - although I know the dogs love riding in the paddy Waggin. 🚐

Pupil of the week:
• Holly! 🖤 She is such a smart and kind girl. She’s always so welcoming to new gang members and makes sure they learn the ropes and feel comfortable.

Other special mentions this week:
• Tilly the Cocker for being an absolute mud monster.
• Heidi for being so confident on her entire first visit.
• Jess for singing me the best songs when I pick her up!
• Frank and Gus for being super social without Ellie around.

I am already beyond excited for my app to launch - as I know it will help me have more times to engage with my pooches, plus give my owners more control over their schedules/dog days.

We are almost there with the next step of our resource consent and as soon as we get the green light there I’ll be looking at getting more vans to help smoothe out the pick up process!

Emma is being a god send and helping me pick up some pooches that are scattered away from the bulk of my other pick ups - so I thank you again, as always my owners have been amazing and supportive with any change in my business and I love that we get to all watch it grow together and be part of this community 🥹🥰🤝

Hi, My name is Mango 🥭 today was my first day and I am fun little play fighter and I love a cuddle.

I am a jack russel cross 🐶

I have high energy and enjoy play fighting, I really love cuddling in the car while someone is driving.

My favourite thing to do today was play with my new bestow Paikea. We just played and played!

Hi my names Emma ❣️

I am Dani’s newest second woman.

The last 2 years I’ve been working in childcare and have recently decided to switch the children for little fluffy friends.

I’ll be helping Dani with pick ups/drops off, all the fun antics that go on during your furry friend’s day and supporting with all the admin that goes on behind scenes.

I understand that animals are such a big part of one’s life, therefore you can rely on me that I will love and cherish your precious pooch.

Hi - My name is Heidi and I am a confident little sausage 🌭

I had my first day today and I had soooo much fun interacting with all the other furry friends. We were chasing the ball, swimming, play fighting and relaxing in the shade.

Jonty is my neighbour so I felt very comfortable hanging out with him! But I was also confident around new dogs and really engaged in play.

Hi my name is Teddy bear 🧸

Today was my first day and I got an A+ for swimming, positive social interactions and drooling 🤤

So wasn’t scared at all from the get go and was very polite and calm when meeting the other doggies in the car and at the farm.

My favourite part of the farm was the variety of all the poles, I was swimming in mud then I was swimming in a puddling pool they even had a trough but my little legs didn’t reach that high.

Hi - I’m Maia and today I got to share my very first day with the new gal on the block Emma! 🤝

I was pretty shy at first when I got into Emma’s car, but once we got out to the farm I got to hoon around with all my new best pals! I also was frequently found frolicking in the mud pit 💩

Maia is a big gentle baby who’s tongue spent half is day catching flight in the wind 😅 I’m so glad she made friends immediately - already can’t wait to see her next week!

I spent my day hanging with the other newbies and play fighting a lot! Plus checking out the strange animals that were near us 🐮

Beau was a bit nervous for his first outing, which is expected! But he didn’t take long to warm up once we got out to the farm and he got to hoon around with his mates 🥰

Hi - I’m Luna and I’m a big grizzly bear with a heart of gold 🐻

I spent most of the day checking out all the strange animals in the other paddocks - the goat was really interesting to me! 🐐

I also made a boyfriend on my first day - Murphy. It was his first day too and we stuck by each other all day 🤝

Luna is seriously a big loveable baby - she was playful and confident and just looked like she was having a blast the entire time! 😍

Highlight of the week:
• Having some new babies join the gang - plus 5 new ones start next week 🥰
• We have Emma on board officially from next week - I’ve managed to survive the final stretch! 😮‍💨
• The sunshine has been amazing, but hot for the pups some days, grateful I have our home for them to still have an epic place to socialise 🤍

Lowlights of the week:
• Dog fights and vomit in the van. Some days I ask if I’ve made the right decision committing my entire life to this, but when I have puppy cuddles and a good dog day and see them super happy, it affirms that it is the right decision 🙏

Pupil of the week:
• He is only new - but Jonty, his happy attitude just makes my day and perks me up so much when I’m stressed. No matter what we do, Jonty is just happy to be invited and is so friendly to everyone and everything 🥰

We are nearly in 2025 - and looking at the businesses future, I have made the decision to do a slight price increase for next year for new dogs. All current owners will stay on the current rate to thank them for their support to date. 🤝

There are a number of ongoing costs for this business - staff, vehicles, gas, vehicle maintenance, cleaning, toys, treats, ACC levies, tax, GST, insurance, seatbelts, dog blankets and towels. The list goes on. People think it’s just as simple as taking a dog for a walk and that’s the end of it. 💰

I have aimed to keep the price affordable, especially considering the pick up and drop off service which is provided. I hope everyone understands this and sees what we provide at Deez Muttz as a premium service as well as an exceptional rural location and not just a concrete pad that you have to manage the transport yourself in addition to your busy lives.

Hi - Im Bella and I literally look like a walking teddy bear 🧸

I was pretty shy today as this was all new to me - but I managed to make some friends and have some cuddles, plus had a few sun bathes in this gorgeous weather we’ve been having ☀️

Most dogs take about 2/3 visits to get used to their new routine and also me and the gang - so im excited to see Bella come out of her shell a bit more with every visit we have 🥰

Hi - I’m Lippy and I think you can tell by this smile that I had an absolute blast on my first day out with the gang 😃

I was pretty shy at first and just wanted to show all of the boys my belly but it only took a few pats and treats from Dani to figure out that this outing business is pretty fun! 😍

My best friend was Kaiser, because he’s pretty shy and also the same size as me - but I’m excited to meet some of the other seals that are in the gangs! 🦭

Lippy is such a gentle wee soul and it was amazing to see her really come out of her shell and play with the others and get grubby! We will work on getting her to swim eventually when she is ready too 🥰

Highlight of the week:
• Spending some quality time with my boys at the beach 🏝️
• The later pick up times allowing me to get to the gym every morning! 🏋️‍♀️
• Introducing Emma to some of my owners 🤝
• Energy levels are restored after a bit of self care and pampering 😍

Lowlights of the week:
• Removing some dogs from the gang, it always hits hard.
• Breaking up dog fights, this can be quite an overwhelming experience. 🙏

Pupil of the week:
• Moosey Goosey, the fact that he screams when the van arrives and almost runs in place like a cartoon before he can actually take off 😅😅😅 it gets me everytime and I LOVE knowing how much he loves his days with his mates 🤍

Another dog who’s becoming a fast favourite is Jonty, he’s only come twice but he’s always just happy to be invited and loves everybody and everything. It seriously makes my day 🥰

Back into it all again next week, it’s the home stretch until Christmas and everyone struggles in different ways at this time of year. Not long to go now - Have a safe and happy weekend team and enjoy some quality time in the sun with your furr babies ☀️

Hi - I’m Tilly and I’m the smiliest loaf in the entire world 😃🍞

I was so easy to kidnap and jumped straight into Dani’s Van as if I had met her before 😅 I also made sure to be the personal welcoming committee for every pooch that joined us in the van.

I spent most of my day doing zoomies with Moose and then hanging in the frenchie corner when we all decided it was time to chill under some trees 🌲

Tilly was such a happy bundle of joy and made so many new friends straight away - I’m already excited to hang out with this bouncy bunny again! 🐇

Highlight of the week:
• Watching the new/younger dogs confidence grow!
• Receiving daily enquiries and having a growing waitlist for 2025!
• Making progress with our resource consent for the daycare. 😍

Lowlights of the week:
• Having to kick out some difficult dogs.
• Got a flat tyre on the paddy waggin!
• Pulled my shoulder throwing the goat back into her paddock over the fence!
• Traffic delays, roadworks, car accidents. 👎

Pupil of the week:
• She’s only new, and the youngest of the gangs - but s**t she’s a confident wee nugget! Maggie Moo 😍 She makes me so proud every visit she has!

I’m pretty burnt out this week. It’s been one of the longest and hardest weeks I’ve had since I started DM.

In an effort the help with this and prevent a complete breakdown I’m going to start doing pick ups from 9am next week instead of 8am - to see if that helps with the traffic issues. Drop offs will also be an hour later. I’m also only going to be doing morning outings or home days - no double outing days. 🙏

I’m a solo operator managing 50 dogs on my own, and a lot of them come 2/3 times a week. I’m pretty proud of that. But also can’t operate at a higher level than I currently am, until the daycare is up and running and I have staff on hand. 🤍

I’m so excited to get that all launched in 2025!! There will still be pack outing opportunities available but it just won’t be me doing them - the daycare is my baby and has always been my vision and that is where my focus will be! 🥰
