When your horse arrives brown, but then you brush it 🙈
Will he stay dark or eventually go light?
Either way Isn’t he lovely 😍
Serravalle (Frosted x Savalona 22 gelding)
No more Pennies and Reserved stretching their legs on the treadmill this morning.
How lucky are our racehorses 🫶🏼
A happy horse is a horse that will give you their all.
We strive to keep our horses happy and healthy, whatever that entails we do!
We are very fortunate to have this place so close by to utilise, it’s a great way to keep the horses fit but also keep their brains happy and relaxed.
Miss Balvenie absolutely loved her field trip today, she has been in Australia for all her racing career so definitely wouldn’t have seen the sights as she did today, which is so awesome to be able to provide these horses.
She was a star student accompanied by super pony Viktor Vegas.
If you have a horse needing a change of environment and scenery be sure to get in touch 🙌🏼

Race 2 : Dunstan Horsefeeds 2100
Pick of the Litter 🥇 Courtney Barnes
Very good win by Pick of the Litter today, huge thrill for her new ownership group to pick up the win, many of them being first time owners.
Aided by a great ride by Courtney, she won convincingly today.
Big thanks to the team at home for the tremendous job they are all doing, horses are looking great and results are coming in and also to the team at EventStars Ltd, Gina had Pixie at her place for a short period of time in between races, teaching her a new set of skills which I’m sure assisted in todays win, a big thank you 🙌🏼
Race Results Wellington Saturday 2nd of November
Race 4 On Track 1200
Debit 🥇 Lily Sutherland
Miss Balvenie 4th Toni Davies
Another nice win by Debit, she’s putting together a tidy record now and it was a good ride by Lily.
I thought Miss Balvenie went a really nice race, she wasn’t beaten far by 2 pretty smart horses and I think with the track a little better she will be right in it next start and Toni really gets on well with her.
Race 8 Feilding Hotel 1600
Footloose 5th Toni Davies
He tried super hard only beaten 3 lengths, he’ll head to the paddock now and come back in for next winter.
Very happy overall with the teams performances today, all ran really well and looked a picture.
Big thanks to the team at home, it’s great to keep bringing home these winners.
Miss Balvenie, Debit and Footloose have made the trip down to Palmerston North ahead of racing at Trentham tomorrow.
Nice and comfy as always in their Canter for Cancer rugs.
All have settled in very well, straight into dinner, so let’s hope we get to race tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Sonofabutcher looking a picture this morning on the treadmill. He’s not looking to bad for an 8yo, he enjoys his variety of work. We look forward to seeing him back at the races in the near future!
Snow man was on chief babysitting duties this afternoon with our sole trialler in Jungle Love.
There weren’t any tie ups for Snow on arrival but he was happy to park up anywhere with his mate.
Jungle Love finished a very nice 4th, her first trial back this preparation. Her grand mother Jungle Rocket won the NZ Oaks with none other than James Mc Donald on board. We can’t wait to see her make her race track debut in the near future 🙌🏼
On Sunday’s we swim 🏊♀️
Miss Balvenie, Footloose, Debit and Jungle Love enjoying a morning dip in the pool.
An excellent tool to use in addition to our training and the horses just love it.
Shez Shamus enjoying her Labour Day weekend out in the paddock after her second yesterday at New Plymouth.
Race Results New Plymouth 25th October
Race 5 - Badgeringdawitness 6th
A below par effort today, signs showing he’s come to the end of his preparation. Still tried hard. Hopefully a nice spell and he’ll return for another good winter campaign.
Race 6 - Shez Shamus 🥈 & Pick of the Litter 4th
Huge from from Shez Shamus to finish 2nd, jumping right up in distance showing all signs she’s still wanting to be a racehorse, a win doesn’t look very far away.
Pick of the Litter also went a big race to run into 4th, she just needs to be going further but was pleasing to see her hit the line and be competitive.
Parkseys final piece of work on the course proper at Wanganui.
A beautiful send off for a wonderful mate.
Rest easy 🤍🕊️
