Entries close lunchtime Fri so don’t miss out!

To clarify the intention of classes… if it’s 60-80cm, then approx the first half the course will be 60, the second half 70 and there will be a few optional 80s at the end. This gives you the chance to “have a go”.

We will be on the ground to help and coach.

We will also put you through a jumping warm up. Walk trot canter before you enter the indoor and you will be ready to go!

If you have parents/helpers that want to learn how to warm you up, for a donation they can join the coaches in the middle and be given pointers on how to get you ready for your class.

As we wrap up post show, it’s good to reflect…
🌟Stats: Over 2 days, through 1 ring, we had 74 riders with 90 horses riding over 230 rounds! That’s a massive effort for a committee of 3.
🌟Travel: We had riders from all over, including Gisborne, Whitianga and Tauranga.
🌟Help: We are super grateful to the support crews, parents, and riders… they were so quick to put up the jumps for the next class, that the judges didn’t even notice that the course was set!
🌟Course Design: Ed did an amazing job of course designing, giving it that “ring 1” feel that many don’t get to experience at the lower heights.
🌟Photos: Please support TiffTaylor Photography. who was there ALL weekend.
🌟Giveaways: We gave away cash, lessons, a jump fill, saddle blankets, vouchers and Xmas presents!
🌟Venue: So lucky to have access to Sunvalley Lodge at Showfields
🌟Tidy: No poo was left unpicked up, the yards were left spotless, and the parking area was tidy. This goes a long way to being invited back to the venue 😉

Shout out to the pony riders who ALL showed up on time, in draw order, had awesome Xmas outfits, and were lovely to gate steward for… well done!

And our last class of the day was an impromptu 1.25-1.30m…

Taking the win was Amelia Paull riding Vanguard.

Not only did she ride a text book round, it was their first time competing at this level.

That’s a awesome way to end the show!

And winning the horse 1.15-1.20m was our one and only Ed Bullock riding Weiti Pogo!

Pictured is Kiwi Sundance after completing his 1.25-1.30m round, supported by his son Archie who not only rode but also helped in the ring.

Ed has been our course designer this weekend and what great courses he gave us!

It was important to us to have quality courses for our riders and we got this is bucket loads. Lots of good questions and plenty of fill, giving it a true ring 1 feel. Something which you often miss out on at the lower heights.
