We did not dare to believe that lightning could strike twice! But our gorgeous girl achieved $1.1m today and we could not be more delighted. She is destined for and was purchased for Colin and Helen Litt. We wish them all the best with the full sister to Prowess - they’ll know how to train her! What a day 💥

Very promising 3 year old gelding Dealt With was most impressive winning first up today at Te Aroha over 1200m 🤩
He didn’t get all favours either after drawing awkwardly which saw him having to use up a little gas early!
We bred and raised him here and was purchased by Roger James and Robert Wellwood out of our Karaka 2023 Book 2 draft for $90,000
The son of Ace High is hopefully destined for bigger things 🙌🏻

SHOWING - Tokomairiro A&P Society: Sarah Ruddenklau’s 16.1hh thoroughbred Lochslea Pride & Joy backed up from their 2023 success at Milton by once again winning the Supreme Champion Horse and Champion Paced & Mannered Horse on the weekend. Lochslea Pride & Joy came forward as the Champion Show Hack on Saturday.

Sarah won two lovely trophies at the show; The Tokomairiro A&P Society Milton Len Vial Memorial Cup was for Champion Hack which was first presented 1969 and the George Robinson Memorial Trophy.

Lochslea Pride & Joy known at home as Scotty is a true gentleman. He is well known down south at the shows and it is only a matter of time before he finds a new home and rider now that he is on the market. Sarah and her partner have 4 children and are on a farm in Dunback located in the Otago region.

RACING CAREER: Lochslea Pride & Joy started his life in racing under the name The Miner’s Son.

The Miner’s Son was bred by Hallmark Stud and foaled in 2008. He is by Gold Mine (USA) out of Enchantez (NZ).

Trained by David Goldsbury, The Miner’s Son won two races from 19 starts. Both wins saw jockey Rory Hutchings in the saddle.

We were stoked on the farm here today off the back of 2 year old Hello Romeo’s win at Bendigo! Congrats to everyone involved!
We prepped and sold him at this years Karaka Book 1 for Jomara Bloodstock. He was purchased by for $150k who have done a superb job to provide exciting first season sire Hello Youmzain with his first southern hemisphere winner.
We will be offering a full brother to Hello Romeo at Januarys Karaka yearling sale 🏇

Hello Romeo is Cambridge Stud shuttling sire Hello Youmzains' first southern-hemisphere winner! We picked up this gorgeous c**t at the 2024 Karaka Yearling Sale in January from Hallmark Stud. We can't wait to get back to NZ in just a few months to see the incredible yearlings on offer at New Zealand Bloodstock in 2025.

Originally purchased off us by Chad and Aleisha Ormsby for $125,000 out of Book 1 at Karaka 23 where we prepped and presented the daughter of Almanzor for her breeders Vicki and Wayne Pike. Looks like there is more wins in store for this smart up and coming filly 👏🏼
