Who else has a horse that is a serious muncher?
Izzy LOVES food and you can here him munching from the kitchen!

Fire and Brimestone tonight,
Andrew started the bonfire, but horses and ponies still need to be worked, Dean didn't think much of it, he's used to the antics, Fanta was alot more cautious, she's not an overly bold mare, she will ask you to do it first, then she will go, I think she is just making sure she won't die.... we call that self preservation. That's not a bad thing in a horse either!!
Zooming ponies
Gale force winds
Jumping courses
Full on atmosphere

Two days of flat work lessons with Paul Austion Equitation up at Selwyn Equestrian Centre in Chch.
Really happy with the way Dean is improving
I have found if I give him a variety in his work he seems to cope better with pressure.
A few days home for I head over to Thrive Equine for two days of jumping lessons.

With the weather warming up the sales ring starts ramping up, horses start moving fast and the smart buyers get in first,
I have a small list of ponies awaiting to come in for sale, feel free to message and add yours to the list.
"Snooze you Loose"
Loki didn't even get his own post before he's heading in the direction of his new owners,
And what a cracker he was too,
Someone was smart enough to wrap him up and stick him in their pocket!
Keep an eye out, I believe he sold locally π
Safe to say Maggie didn't mind my dog and cat chasing each other around under her legs,
Because there isn't enough room for them to find their own space to play chase apparently π«£

How are your holidays going?
We have Ana here with her fantastic pony Pebbles,
Today they are really getting their trot button working, I have put out the pink barrels (aka feed buckets) for Ana to focus on, she has been working in and out of these and learning how to shorten her inside rein, this is such a good exercise for beginners to learn as keeping that inside rein shorter keeps control if her pony decides to go faster, .... Sometimes Pebbles likes to knock it down a gear and push the Ferrari Button, π we are aiming for a happy medium π
Ana now saddles up most of her pony, she's lunging her (turning a Ferrari into a Morris minor π) and also unsaddles and washes her pony,
It's so good to get into the routine of doing things yourself,
Ana has a massive goal of going on a hunt, I reckon we can get you there Ana, πͺ Ana was on a lead last holidays and has been working super hard on her riding, look at her go, so proud π
Today we hummed around the Claremont Bush Track, we use this one as it has lots of verges for trot and canter work, if you are test driving a horse to buy from me, I usually take you around this track,
Today we had Mum on Whirlybird, Tayla on Charlie Brown and I rode Dean who is a Wooley bear and needs to be reclipped again!
Don't forget school holidays coming up, fun and adventures, this track is suitable for beginners too
With it being my years turn to stay at home with the rolling strikes at school, I got up early and headed out on a solo ride with Charlie Brown for the first time, he was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!
Such a good boy for an OTTB, he's super kind with a massive heart β€οΈ
Then Mum and I headed out for a ride, she rode Whirlybird and I took Dean, our property boarders on to what is commonly known as "the million dollar house" .... it's worth about 9 million π€£ it's for sale with all its land for 16 million if you want to become our neighbour's π
Anyway check out this cool app Mum used today, a ride like this is quite common in winter here to keep the horses fit,
Such a beautiful day for it too βΊοΈ
6 years of loving you and being your partner in crime β₯οΈ
Today is the day we part ways for a while x x

Mum and I shot up to Chch to have a lesson With the incredible Paul Austin who runs Paul Austin equitation in Australia, He comes over to NZ every couple of months to whip a whole heap of us into shape,
You always start riding the lesson quite shabby and you quickly learn he's not there for a social visit π your body hurts in places you never knew existed, But the results speak for themselves β€οΈπ¦
