š¾ A Personal Update from Me š¾
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share something thatās been incredibly hard to come to terms with. Over the past several months, Iāve had to take a lot of unexpected days off, and the truth isāI havenāt been well.
After many tests and doctor visits, Iāve been diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos. These conditions cause my joints to move far more than they should, leading to constant pain, injuries, and deep fatigue. Itās been worsening over time, and Iāve been struggling more than Iāve let on.
Iāve now been advised to take at least six weeks off work, possibly longer. And while Iām still processing it, I need to be honest: I wonāt be able to continue walking dogs the way I have been. In fact, thereās a high chance I may not be able to return to dog walking at all. Thatās a heartbreaking reality for me, because this job has brought me so much joy, purpose, and connection.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your beautiful dogs. Every single walk has meant the world to meānot just because I adore dogs, but because this work gave me laughter, meaning, and a sense of community every day.
Itās deeply painful to accept that my body isnāt letting me keep doing what I love. But I needed you to know how much Iāve appreciated your support, kindness, and loyalty.
What started as a simple idea grew into a great wee business where I never once felt like I was workingājust hanging out with the coolest dogs around. Iāll carry that joy with me always.
With love and gratitude,
Taylor
