Upcoming Microchipping Clinic is now Saturday, 3 May 2025

A microchipping clinic will be held at Leckie Street Dog Park on Saturday, 3 May 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Why Microchipping is Important

Microchipping helps quickly reunite lost dogs with their owners and is a requirement under the Dog Control Act 1996. Failure to microchip your dog may result in a $300 infringement notice.

Requirements to Attend
• Your dog must be registered for the 2024/25 year in the Timaru District.
• A microchipping form must be completed before attending.

Where to Get the Form
• Pick up at the Timaru District Council front desk, Temuka or Geraldine service centres.

• Download from: Timaru Council Website
How to Submit the Form

• Drop it off at any of the above locations.
• Email it to [email protected].

Hi Tuesday Crew just letting you know that on Tues 18th Feb we will be closing early at 3.30pm. The Xrace is on down at the bay. This year Elaina is entered in it 😍 so we will all be heading down to watch her and help volunteer with the Timaru Dog Club. It is a great activity if you have kids or know someone with kids tell them to check it out. But I need the dogs picked up at 3.30pm please 😄 Thank you

Fly ball starts back up next week, 11/02, Tuesdays at 6pm. A very fun sport that the dogs love, come and give it a try! Minimum age for the dogs is 12 months.

I’m Alex, the face behind The Visiting Vet Nurse. I started this business nearly three years ago, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. My mission is to provide compassionate, professional nursing care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, whether it’s a nail trim, ear cleaning, microchipping, or any of the other services I offer.

I’m also passionate about puppy development and offer puppy classes, along with training for dogs over four months in partnership with another local dog business.

Recently, I’ve teamed up with a local veterinarian to expand our services, including vaccinations, health checks, euthanasia, and much more.
