Found this beauty in the garden this morning. There is not a lot going on out there at the moment. Only a few things worth picking. This season was such a right off that I’m actually just looking forward to the frosts so I can rip everything out and start over!

Now that it’s Autumn the days are getting noticeably shorter and it’s cool and dark in the mornings. I like this time of year. I am starting my winter clean up early. It has not been a great season in the garden and I’m a bit over it. I have big plans for a winter makeover, and 500 bulbs to plant soon. Spring will be pretty! Photo is from this time last year because the garden looks dumb this year 😆

Everything in the garden is very behind this year. It has been much colder and wetter than normal and the garden has been neglected for the last couple of months while I’ve been unwell. But today, walking around the garden with the cat in the rain, I found this beauty!

They are fleeting.. but that's what makes them special. Now we wait for the next round of pretty things to start flowering!

I planted 350 tulips this year. I’m supposed to be cutting them for bouquets but after such a long gloomy winter it is just so nice to see flowers again that I can’t make myself do it!

Yay! The Ranunc's are alive! I was sure they were dead. It is super exciting to see little bits of green poking up out of the ground. In another week or so there will be Tulips to pick, and finally there will be flowers again 😊

Seed sowing has begun! Finally a sunny day after weeks and weeks of rain. Sowed the first crop of Snapdragon's and Scabiosa today. The Scented Stock seeds have started growing and the Tulips are popping up. Pretty sure the Ranunculus are dead... but at least spring is coming!
