4yo mare , wins in Morphettville for trainers Michael Hickmott Bloodstock after a tough wide run, bringing up her 3rd win in the last 6 months for her new owners & trainer after being purchased off the track from breeders/owners/trainers Samantha & Maxim Van Lierde from VL Racing

The Pansies(Singspiel) mare now has the record of 3 wins & 3 placings & a 4th from her 7 Australian starts.

Top South Island Stallion at New Zealand Bloodstock 2025

This great looking well bred c**t by , out of proven mare Skite(Pins) had the best result for South Island Stallions at the Karaka Book 2 Sale held this week selling for $60,000.

He was superbly prepared by HGT Bloodstock Ltd & sold on behalf of local Geraldine couple Mike & Anne McSweeny to Paul Beamish Bloodstock.

His older half brother Freddie Time who we had to withdraw from Karaka 2 years ago, lines up in the Listed Gore Guineas on Sunday.

Drenched but delighted! Nothing like a midweek win to lift the spirits!

Believe In Angels gets on the board today, breaking his maiden at his home track on just his second run since joining the team. He may be small, but he’s got plenty of heart and shows promise for the future.

Winning the Christmas Cup🎄 for Lisa Latta Racing & ridden by Ace Lawson-Carroll.
Fresh up, she storms from last to first, this mare just loves Trentham, winning her 4th race here along with a 2nd, 3rd & 5th.
A model of consistency, has had 26 starts with only 5 times outside the top 5, with 5 wins, 8 seconds & 4 thirds & has won over $150k so far.

A pretty good day at Riccarton Park Racecourse for the team.
A winner for & another narrow 2nd for both in the same race.

Local Timaru stables had a challenging day at today’s Riccarton midweek meeting, but it was so close to producing a perfect day for the stable of Bruce Tapper and connections - with an ounce more luck!

In Race 5 the stable lined up THUNDERFIST [Corey Campbell] who only just failed to catch the winner PERICOLOSO [ Masa Hashizume] in the shadows of the post.

The same Race 5 was also a good result for local stud Clearview Park Stud who currently stand the stallions who sired the winner [sire Echoes Of Heaven] and the runner up [sire Jon Snow]

In Race 7 the Tapper team lined up CRITERIA [Kevin Scott] who raced courageously to finish 3rd, with less than a length separating the first 3 across the line.

Finally STRONG [Tina Comignaghi] finished an improvers third in Race 9 for the Tapper team. This horse is really developing into a promising stayer for the future.

Well done to all of our local stables who supported the meeting.

Looking forward to following the starters from the stables that race in our upcoming South Canterbury Racing Club Meeting at Phar Lap Raceway next Thursday 21st November. See you there.

Among this year's foals, one has caught my attention for its exceptional temperament and physical attributes. The c**t sired by Echoes Of Heaven from Dances With Wine, an unraced Burgundy mare, is 10 days old & especially impressive.
