All go here this arvo , two Auckland secondary schools cycling teams I'm town for national Champs paid a visit to see the cows being Milked and feeding calves, they were fascinated by it all, the cows didn't seem to mind the 60 or so teenager's who all wanted to have a go at milking!

Post Country Calendar, one of our heifers was having trouble calving so she was brought into the yard for further investigation. We assisted getting the calf out only to find another one in there in the breech position. Luckily we managed to get the second one out without too much drama! Both mum and the twins are happy and healthy 😄 time for a cuppa!

Afternoon everybody, we were very happy to get 18mls of rain this week hopefully we get some grass growing before it gets too cold. Here is a pic of our little helper Wylie busy helping Bella feeding the calves the other morning. We are very lucky to have our daughter working on farm with their son Wylie and it makes our busy days more fun 😊

Hi everyone we have a tabby cat very friendly turn up at feeding time today, is anyone missing one?

Our only unwanted customer has turned up again this morning trying to rip off the shop and money from the 6 Acre knitwear basket. They turned up just after 6am (incorrect time on video) luckily we don’t keep any money on site so old mate was just practicing. Stu was just walking down to the cowshed while the culprit rode off on his bike 😠

We take quality and safety of our milk incredibly seriously. We think that the safer our milk is, the better the taste, and the better the quality. We are pretty excited to share our latest testing info, and one of our main tests, the Aerobic Plate Count (APC), is now so low it's unbelievable!! APC is a key test in that high bacterial presence, means poor storage or hygiene practices. We have outperformed even what the expects say is outperformance!! Here's Stu talking about the APC counts...
