DID YOU KNOW… There are various different tapeworm species that pets can be infected with?

Dipylidium caninum, the flea tapeworm is the most common species of tapeworm in dogs and cats. The worm attaches itself to the lining of the intestine by using its suckers on its head. Tapeworms require a flea as an intermediate host to complete its life-cycle therefore it’s crucial to treat both worms as well as fleas to ensure your pet is worm-free.

MILPRO® is a broad spectrum wormer that makes worming easy and enjoyable for both you and your pet!

Protecting your pets from these nasty internal parasites has never been tastier. For more information on MILPRO® speak with your local vet clinic or visit our website nz.virbac.com/milpro

Registered pursuant to the ACVM Act 1997, Nos. A011304, A011305, A011306.

❕CHECK YOUR CHIP❕

Is your pet microchipped? Are those microchip details up to date and registered on the New Zealand companion animal register? 🐶🐱

Thousands of pets are lost every year and sadly, many are never reunited with their owner. Microchipping your pet gives them the best chance of being identified and returned to you.

Senior Pet Health Checks for your Furry Friends. 🐶🐱🐾
Your consultation also provides an opportunity to raise any other concerns you might have. Our in-house diagnostic laboratory enables us to run your pet’s blood test on-site during their examination. This means we can pick up on any underlying issues and provide an immediate and tailored treatment plan for your pet.

📌RECOVERY POSITION

Calf, lamb, kid or cria have a difficult birth? Then you need to know the recovery position. It helps the lungs expand and unnecessary fluid to clear.

🐮Stimulate breathing: Either by vigorous rubbing or ticking the nares (using a piece of grass/hay just inside the nostril)

🐮Avoid swinging or hanging calf upside down, it puts more pressure on the lungs. Fluid seen draining from nose or mouth when upside down has been shown to be stomach fluid.

🐮Give calf high quality colostrum and warmth within a few hours of birth.
