As we formulate some promotions to celebrate the 60 th anniversary of the Oasis motel and holiday Park Tokaanu we’re reaching out for any photos guests or former owners / employees have could they please msg them too us.
Our celebrations of a culturally significant business to the area that the Oasis has been, its humbling to realize looking at the old photos how many memories have been made here with our estimates that’s nearly a milllion people have stayed or eaten here maybe even got an ice block or hot pool .
How many businesses in the Tokaanu / Turangi area are 60 plus years old? Not many you would say, so we will have 6 months of celebrationary give away from April more on these to come. Top photo is of the reception and our Whare as it was prior to opening as tea rooms then motel to house the Dam workers.

This winter all motels in the Rohe can be purchased books of concessions for our hot pools except those who have camping and tenting .DM for more info if your just a motel.

What a privilege to be a part of Junior John ‘Voyage Continues’ album release including Wiz & Shel Tokelau Chur da Boys was memorable for ages nights of international musicians but humble unassuming Kiwis .
It was such a blessing too be a part of and another layer of the history of The Oasis Motel Tokaanu which is 60 years old this year .
John and his band of merry men :) have helped to realign and perception to local community , if our sincere intentions of bettering in our small way the Whanau of Turangi / Tokaanu has been mistaken for anything but absolute desire for all of our children to succeed believe in themselves and become the best version of themselves than we apologize for that misconception ist us now and always will be about the children nothing more nothing less .
Wait till you see next year and some tracks that John and crew have to be released can’t wait to kill next year hope more people come support and appreciate.
