We are currently at capacity for adult cats and can’t accept new ones.

Our adult cats are now available for adoption at a special fee of $120. This includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, vet checks, and regular flea and worm treatments. These friendly cats are all eager to find their forever homes!

- Selene: 9 months old, female. She loves to play but can be a bit shy at first, making her even more endearing once she warms up.

- UPDATE! MIA HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Mia: About 1 year old, female. She will be your perfect sidekick—a velcro cat who loves attention and cuddles!

- Mumm: Approximately 4 years, female. Full of playful energy, she’s a sweet and confident lady who enjoys having fun.

- Nate: 9 months old, male. Shy at first and in need of some TLC, he’ll warm up with gentle care and treats.

Our gorgeous girl, Mumm, creator of the beautiful Champagne Litter (all pre-adopted!) is officially searching for her own forever home!

She is such a sweet, friendly gal! We could hardly get pictures of her because all she wanted was cuddles 😻 She is very tolerant of noise and other cats, has not yet been tested with dogs. She's a very patient, kind lady who make a great addition to any home.

Stop by and say hi any day from 3.30pm - 4.30pm!

She is about 4 years old, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and regularly flead and wormed.

Ozzy & Nate, they dynamic duo, are ready for their forever home!

Ozzy and Nate have been fostered together for a few months now, and their bond is undeniable. They’re up for adoption as a pair with a special deal—adopt both, and one is half off (just $240 for the pair).

A huge shout out and thank you to our wonderful community!

We are absolutely blown away by the support you’ve shown for Pihanga’s care! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve raised $1000 of our $1800 goal! We’re so grateful for every single donation.

For those who might be seeing Pihanga’s story for the first time, she’s a 10 year old community cat who has lived a bit rough but now is fully embracing her new life in foster care. She needed two teeth removed, which is a costly but common procedure for adult cats. She is now recovered and healthy! So if you're looking for an affectionate, easy-going companion without the 20-year commitment, she might just be your perfect match.

We’re still working to meet our goal, so if you haven’t had a chance to contribute, it’s not too late! Every little bit truly makes a difference and helps us continue supporting other cats in need, especially with kitten season stretching our resources.

Volunteers needed for the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge!

We need 4x more volunteers to marshal during the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge on Saturday, 30th November! This is a one-time commitment of just 4 hours, with shifts available:

⏰ 8:30am - 12:30pm
⏰ 12:30pm - 4:30pm

Locations: Omori to Waihi Hill Road

If we meet our volunteer goal, Animal Care Turangi will receive a sizeable donation! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference without committing to ongoing shifts. Every hour volunteered helps us continue our work for the animals in our community.

Update: Our little sweetheart is taking her time to bounce back to 100% after her spay. She’s feeling a little under the weather, so we’re giving her some extra TLC to make sure she’s in perfect health before she goes to her forever home.

Our sweet, chatty Frankie has been living the good life in foster care recovering from her hard start to life.

A word about Frankie from her foster parents:

"Frankie truly is one of those special kittens that just have a way of capturing your whole heart. We named her after Aretha Franklin because she has some pipes on her, so be prepared to be sung to! If she is near you she's purring. She is such a happy little thing, always down for a cuddle and lots of belly rubs! She is a very confident, curious kitten who would do well in just about any home. She is mostly unfazed by dogs - as long as introduced properly - and would make a lovely, energetic friend for children."
