After more than 60 years of service, Ross Coles steps out for his final raceday as Clerk of the Course. A constant and reassuring presence, Ross has always ensured the safety and welfare of both our runners and riders.

Ross has contributed immensely to the smooth running of racedays and his deep care for the horses has left a lasting legacy.

On behalf of NZTR and the wider racing industry, we thank Ross for everything and wish him all the very best in his retirement. 🐎👏

Jo has rehomed 9 horses through the HERO programme and her work behind the scenes as a breed Ambassador and chief organiser is invaluable 🥺
