Old post and rail might need an uppgrade (in our opi
nion) ,but for now farmer wants to see how it goes. Few more gates needed but that,stage two, But at least it's ready for docking.

Just finished small set of yards on sloping sight, whole team involved during construction. Sean, Matt, Graeme and myself.

New rammer is fast and nimble. Great job.

No rain, No cell coverage, in the backblocks, another forestey job, miles frorm anywhere..... It's Friday and there is a cold beer waiting in the fridge back home, perfect way to end a busy week!!

Got a call to put in a post and rail fence across the end of client garden. Part of it still to be filled in to come up to level , so the fence had to be put in with longer posts at one end to allow for this.
Also fence around slip for planting and stock seperation. Quick 3 days job. Lets know if you need nice curved post and rails fences. Done a load of them now.

A very big brand new shed needed some new gates and rails around it. Plus pipe gate mounted on concrete. We made the wooden gates and tower gates sorted out custom fitting pipe gate and pole. Cool job, came up well considering the different heights we had to deal with when hanging gates. Good challenge.

Lots of riperian planting this year around small waterways.
Cool idea but ..... i think we need to be leaving a small track for future cleaning of some of these drains. Seen several paddocks turning back to swamps as 15 year old plantings have stopped any de-silting work. So 1.5 meter deep drains now 150mm deep. Water spreading across paddocks, increasing run off of nitrogen from cattle s**t.

Love the work but maybe we need a,little more planning????? I just plant dead wood. Lots of it!!!

Next is the Huha fence, 1800 summit x fence. Also using the Solonet dispenser for netting. Had to adapt to our digger but hell it was worth it. We wired up 600 meters of padddock in a day!

That would have been 5-6 days using straining boards. Just an awesome bit of kit. Now i want to own it...... gotta talk to Sally (Summit rep) really nicely. . 35 strainers to work around on 30 - 45 degree slops. Cool fun. Plus extra care under and around 110,000 volt lines above . Big thanks to Transpower for doing thier and running us thru safe practise.

Hope the Huha animals like their new home. HUHA are awesome to work for. Thanks for the challenge.

Quick job to keep deer out of new native plantings in middle of Akatarawa. Not sure they wont come down the river, but its a start. They grow big rocks underground in the Aka's, alot of crowbar work

Had some tractor issues so did a few jobs by hand. Here's a dog fence in bush on pretty section. Heaps of roots to deal with.

Saturdays are heading over the Remutakas to Goldpine. The Hill is always fun in the trucks. Coffee at Wildoats on the,way.... perfect day.

Hammers are great, but this Summit Steel & Wire Xfence netting needs speed. Quick draw Sean... Honestly, it takes practise, and that Delfast gun is heavy!
