We finally had some sun at the wintering block in Central Otago, so I shot up to spend some time with the ponies there this morning 🙌 🌞

Ember came for a led walk to practice walking away from her herd, Holler had some more long reigning practice with the help of his four legged furry friend & ponies as well as ducks all fed ✅️

Rosie has recently finished up with the Clutha Community Riding centre & returned home for a few weeks before heading off to her new lease home with old friends. Phantom has just passed his St John pet therapy certification & will be a Balclutha Community visitor bringing smiles to the elderly in the local rest homes.
We love our dear wee Rosie 💖

This week saw the final 2 pregnancies confirmed by our Brightwater Black Adder! It's been a very busy & loooong season, but we have some absolutely stunning mares expecting foals this spring, including 4 of our own!
Black Adder never fails to disappoint with his strike rate & is looking forward to a well deserved break over winter! 🖤

Polly & Ember have headed off for some basic youngster education with Esra Hansen from Refresh Horsemanship I've followed Esras training journey for a while, witnessing his calm & patient approach as he's worked with young horses. I know both our babies are in safe hands with him & look forward to seeing their learning journey progress 🥰

We are looking for an enthusiastic groom to join our team 🐴

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

🌟Must be available 2hrs a week
🌟Be confident & competent handling horses independently
🌟 Be able to use initiative & follow instructions
🌟Role will include handling, washing, braiding horses (must be able to plait) & cleaning gear

This a PAID position, hours may fluctuate & of course there will be opportunities to ride the horses on our property & at events depending on ability.
