Friday - anyone else hear/feel the earthquake this morning 10.41am? At the time we were having morning tea, and neighbour and I both heard it and felt the pressure/vibration. Very close to us too, no wonder we felt it! When mam arrived home her wee Rosie, (who was home alone at the time) was very clingy and wouldn’t leave m**s side for a good few hours! 🙏 Ooh it’s a been a very cold day, didn’t expect to be lighting the fire again this year!

Thursday - Good to see Muppet 🐈 is enjoying company and “lap” time 🥰! A few walks today - great to meet you Charlie the dachshund puppy 🐶 - and lots of relaxing ☺️

Monday - lovely walk ‘n’ ride around the lake walk this morning with Gracie 🐶 and Neo 🐶. Always a pleasure bumping into you Richard with Poppy 🐶 ! Physiotherapy for me late morning in Pegasus (thank you Jack!) then I visited Arthur and we enjoyed a gentle walk together. Sun ☀️ came out late afternoon so we had another walk ‘n’ ride to visit mam Dianna. Another en-route catchup stop, this time with the kind and caring Kate, who was taking dear old Jill 🐶 for a walk 🙏. Lovely to see you Kate 💕 Thanks for the yummy curry mam 🍛!

Sunday - what a fab weekend, Gracie’s had a nice fresh groom (need to finish off the feet though which is always the trickiest part!) and this morning we met Angela with her Riley over at the Milton Street Rangiora Dog Park. So lovely to see so many familiar faces with their dogs: Carol with Jock 🐶 , Graham with Molly 🐶 and Bob 🐕, Carol with Holly 🐶 to name but a few! Had a long play in the small dog section then we ventured into the new Agility Area where the dogs had fun running up and down the ramp, oh and that 🌼 photo opportunity board is just brilliant and a nice surprise! Dogs should be pretty tired now 🙏

Thursday - what a stunner ☀️ of a day and so many people out and about around the lake and on the lake this morning 🙏. Gracie, Neo and I enjoyed a big lake walk - check out the “bend” I can do on my operated knee! I practiced this and other easy physio exercises while we enjoyed the walk ‘n’ ride! Wow Rosie, 🐶 🎀 you’ve had a beautiful groom today by Courtney!

Wednesday - what a legend you are Leigh (and Kate) 🙏. I was so happy we had a good impromptu catch-up today Leigh whilst you were giving dear old Jack 🐕 a walk. I saw you both from the other side of the road, and how you gently helped him get up when he stumbled a bit ❤️‍🩹. You and Kate are guardian angels , voluntarily walking, caring and looking out for dogs 🐕 🐶 in our community. The dedication and love you have shown and continue to show, is admirable 🙏 . I hope there will come a time soon when you are able to ease up, enjoy, and concentrate on your own dogs and lives. 💕 I’m a happy girl today ! Had a good post-op appointment with knee surgeon this morning, he reckons I’m a “Gold Star Student”! Nice to see lots of friendly faces and 🐶 (Norbu, Dotty, Quinn, Blue, Max) in the dog park this afternoon - and you too Leigh with your Milo 🐕

Tuesday- what is going on with this weather today ☀️ 🌬️ 🌧️ ! Very appreciate of the rain though 🙏 . Nice quiet day enjoying the morning sun and a visit from mam Dianna , who had a big walk from her home with Rosie 🐶 , thankfully while the weather was fine!

Monday - Gracie and I enjoyed a nice outing mid morning all the way to the Golf Course (on the “chariot” as I’m unable to drive for another 5-6 weeks!). What a lovely ride we had, Gracie enjoyed a sit on my lap at times and we chatted to lots of friendly locals along the way. We had refreshments at 🐕 Arthur’s house ☕️ taking in the beautiful views whilst enjoying the sunshine ☀️. On the way back home, we stopped and chatted to Sir Richard Hadlee ⛳️ 🏏 who was doing some gardening at his beautiful home, which is still currently on the market. Then, we had the fortune to meet Goose 🐕 who was out enjoying a walk with Melanie and her mum. Goose was so happy to see me and came up to me smiling ! 🙏 Gracie 🐶 wasn’t so amused 😜 but she got over it! Neo and Gracie have had a lovely day together with a visit from mam Dianna early afternoon. Lovely to see the puggies and I hope you got home safe and sound back to Kaikoura 🐬 🐳 Molly 🐶 and Charlie 🐶.

Saturday - lovely to see and chat to a lot of people out and about today, including a few “Park Runners/Walkers” too! Met lots of dogs on our outings today including Molly, Sophie, Poppy, Tia and Donni 🐾. Have a great trip to Borneo, Annie and Zac! Love your special stone, dear Olly 🐶 🙏 🌈

My 2 year old great nephew Isaiah impersonating my brother Darren’s “Kiwi” accent. Darren and my mam were over in England (North-East) recently visiting family - my turn next year 🙏. Can’t wait to meet my 2 great nephews and great niece ! Would love to hear Isaiah say this using his Middlesbrough “Boro” accent! 🥰

UPDATE: Good news! He's gone home 🎉

This sweet Lagotto, 1 year-old and male, is now in our care after he was found in Rangiora and taken to the Rangiora Vet. We would love to reunite him with his family 🐶

Tuesday - it feels like Spring 🌼 is here! So mild this afternoon (21 degrees was the high in Pegasus!) How lovely to see some of the children from Little Wonders Preschool out walking this morning with staff. They told me they were walking to the cafe for hot chocolate ☕️! They were all so well behaved, listening to their teachers and stopping to let Gracie 🐶 and I pass safely 🙏 . They looked so cute too, in their hi-viz tabards!

Friday - lots of company and help today - thank you Amy and mam Dianna 🙏. Enjoyed the walk/ride this afternoon with Gracie 🐶 and Amy, what a pleasant mild day! Polly 🐕 you enjoyed the bubble play with Amy and Puggies you enjoyed a run around the garden ! Feeling so much better today after a bad day yesterday with terrible pain. ❤️‍🩹 Think I’ve definitely turned a corner! 🙏

Wednesday - happy to report that I’ve done very well mobilising since surgery yesterday, so after X-rays, surgeon and physio visit, I was able to be discharged early! 🙏 Great to be home again, and thank you Andrea (Sonics 🐶 “mum”) for that lovely surprise visit last night 💕. Good to see my wee Gracie again 🐶, thanks mam Dianna for looking after her 🥰

Thursday - well we 🐶 🐶 🐶 were all “in the dog house” this morning … or rather the garage! Had David from Christchurch Carpet Cleaning Ltd come and do a deep clean of my home. What an amazing job, extremely satisfied and highly recommend this friendly man, who is a Pegasus resident too! Great to support local. Have never had my carpets professionally cleaned before and can’t believe just how clean, bright, stain free and fresh they smell. He did a couple of rugs too and everything has had a pet urine treatment through it🙏 - very happy! Thanks Darryl for your help with moving heavy furniture! What a lovely surprise to bump into you this afternoon David with your dear little dog Rusty 🐶. Wow he’s grown! Such a cool wee dude and I hope in a few months to see you down at the dog park in Rangiora for a play date 🐶. Dear Pippi 🐕 💕 , your dad missed you so much whilst he was as at work today he gave up his golf to come straight 🏠 🙏 !
