Took Spen to Brookfields for a training session.

Spencer was amazing for our quiet training session today at Brookfield.
We are slowly adding to our current height and he was more than keen to have a go at some 110cms.
I forget he’s only 7, and he’s very good at telling me when he’s ready or not.

First 95cm one day event. Was tiring trying to control him for the jumping but a great ride. Well done Spencer

Spencer was fantastic for his dressage, first time we’ve come top half in scoring. Went on for a double clear showjumping and cross country.
He’s so strong and so focused on his job. Was a fun ride and so looking forward to the next event.
Thanks Waikato Equestrian Centre for a well organised event.

Monday morning gymnastics for Spencer. He was not 100% after a few slips on crap surfaces, so two osteopath sessions with Emily King and he’s back on form.

Unicorn 🦄
3rd in the 90cm.

I didn’t know there was a jump off until I arrived at the gate, so luckily my memory was on form today.
I let Spencer out a bit onto his huge 12 foot stride and he wasn’t fast but boy does he cover some ground.
Maybe our last 90cm - watch this space

Spencer was a good boy today. He can be very strong and distracted. When we get through the other side he’s a star.

Spencer was on top form this morning. Beautiful rounds of up to 110cm in the heat.

When showjumpers do dressage!!!!!!
Spencer was so good in his lesson today, he’s taking a while to pull his frame together as he’s a huge moving horse.

Double clear for Spencer today in the 90cm and 1m.
Going back to basics has helped this young headed boy back off the jumps and really start to lift. He didn’t come close to a rail all day, even in the 27 degree heat.
We only school these rounds, not in to win at these heights as this boy is going to be a big jumper!!!

A huge show from Show Jumping Waitemata and was run fantastically.
