FLEAS!!!!! We have seen an increase in the number of dogs coming in with fleas lately..... these hot humid days have caused the flea population to explode. Our houses my be flea free but with all the ground fleas out there It's time to think about our pets preventative Flea treatments. Weather you prefer Oral, Topical or even natural start now. By the time you see a flea on your pet it's too late.....where there is one there are hundreds more.
If your pets come to us & we find live fleas, We will give them a flea rinse & add a charge to your bill. We can not risk the grooming room becoming infested & passing fleas to other clients dogs.
Believe me when I say it's not just embarrassing but totally insulting to have someone ring me & try to say that we gave their dog fleas.
Just treating your dog might not completely fix the problem, think about treating their sleeping area/bedding with a hot wash/Good clean ( dust is great for fleas to lay eggs in ) & also look at flea bombing the house it might need to be done a couple of times to stop the breeding cycle.

With how hot it's been of late its a good time to remind everyone to take extra care with our pets both at home & out & about.
Don't walk in the heat of the day,
Don't leave dogs in cars
Don't leave dogs shut inside unless under air conditioning.
Have plenty of water available at home & if your out & about
Use cool mats/wet towel/ cool coats
Use fans/aircon
Have a paddling pool in the shade
Spritz dogs with cool water
Everything helps even making sure our DOUBLE Coated breeds are brushed out correctly so that they can regulate their own temperature. Compacted coat holds in the heat.

We can offer your pets a customized experience depending on their personality, age & social preferences. One on one enrichment opportunities, basic training sessions & more.
Dogs must be small/medium breed type, around 16kg & of sound Temperament to be considered for acceptance to the Daycare.

Just a wee note to those of you looking to become new clients.
Please be aware that any groomer that is a credit to the Grooming Industry is not sitting waiting for you to call.
We are already busy, we already have an exsiting client base & they are all on a regular rotation for their grooms.
So when you call us and ask for a booking & expect it to be tomorrow or even this week.
Pleased don't get offended or even angry at us when we inform you that our 1st availability is not for another 5 to 6 weeks. Unless we have a cancelation it is very rare that we can fit you in when you expect us to be able to.
I get quite hurt when people write us off because we can't fit them in yesterday........
Plan ahead everyone don't wait until the situation is dire before contacting us....

Happy New Year Everyone.
Some house keeping.....
With the move to new premises & the fact we are now on a very busy main road.
Please Please Please, All Dogs must be on a Lead, Harness or in a Carrier before you leave your vehicle.
I do not want to lose any dogs to the traffic. It would be beyond horrific 😢
Also please ensure you have toileted your dogs properly before you drive to the groomers. If your dog does p*e or p**p inside the building you will be charged a cleaning fee..... we now share our space with the garden shop & we need to be respectful of that space both inside & out.
