P.assion. Paige Orlandini has been a competitive show jumper, horse trainer and coa
ch. She has developed an individual, unique approach to riding, schooling and competing, the foundation of which is developing a working partnership with your mount. Trust, understanding, empathy, clarity and consistency are cornerstones of her approach and the foundation of all techniques and exercises. Paige is passionate about horses, people and the benefits of building good relationships with horses. From empathy to patience, responsibility to freedom Passionate about partnership, achievement, innovation, growth and enjoyment. Paiges philosophy behind training and partnership has been shaped by handicaps, disadvantages she has had to innovate around. Paige was inspired by Warwick Schillers words: "Make the wrong thing hard, and the right thing easy". Paige has Irlens Syndrome, a visual perception processing disorder, meaning she has little to no depth perception and her vision is affected by bright and artifical light... a significant handicap in the jumping ring or competitive arenas. Despite, or because of this she has needed to adapt too training and trusting her horses on a different level, allowing them to take ownership of their own movement, with the rider a partner rather than a dictator of strides, distances and contact. She also has a handicap due to injury, a permanent weight bearing instability means riding evenly in a jumping saddle is a serious challenge. Once again, despite or because of this Paige developed a method of schooling from the ground that allows horses and riders to work as a team to develop strength, elasticity, attentiveness and willingness. This unique approach has allowed her to have incredible success in the showjumping ring. Achieving competitive goals, incredible jump offs, producing clean jumpers and keen, willing, intelligent partnerships. Coaching
