This was such a cool afternoon, because the weather had turned super windy! But then exactly as we went out the wind stopped, and the sun did its job and turned into a beautiful golden hour.
I really enjoy working with creatives like photographers, and videographers. I hope we get to do some more throughout the time. In the meantime we will just keep practising our model skills 💃🏻

I keep being amazed by nature how great she is with putting on a show.
A good friend of mine shot these amazing photos a little over a year ago when we only open since a month.
We truly love this beautiful location. Did you know we are located on a private station? They are the nicest people, and we will be forever grateful they let us have the business on the land.
The station is a working farm with sheep, deer, and cows, and guaranteed you will a few of them during our ride.
Well this definitely deserved to be featured in a post. What a special gift this was from mother nature.
We went outside and saw right away the pinkish sky. But only when we started to take the photos we really saw what it was. It made us want to keep taking photos of course because it kept changing!

You guys remember when this beautiful lady came over for a ride? Her name is Chelsea and she is an amazing photographer, model, and content creator. She was super inspiring and it was so great hanging out together and going on a ride.
She had brought her super nice camera on the ride and together we shot some of these photos. Aren’t they amaaaazing ✨👏🏼?! I love them so much, and super grateful for them.
We got along so well that we started talking about hosting a retreat here some day with the two of us. Containing riding, horsemanship, maybe some yoga, meditation, amazing food, who knows sky is the limit. Would you be in for this?
A month ago I was invited to be a part of a “men’s retreat at a beautiful station. They asked of I could show what “horsemanship” is about.
The men had never really been around horses much, and I had no idea if they were going to like it. To me horsemanship is so amazing: connecting with a horse from the ground. This doesn’t mean cuddles and carrots but it means you have to become their leader. And how that works in the horse world is quite different from our “predator” world. To connect, set boundaries, communicate you have to work on yourself first. It comes from the inside of you, and inly then a horse will want to be with you.
Every horse is different too, just like humans. Some are shy, some want to be in your face, some are distracted, and we have to work with what they show us, and we can’t make them. Especially not at liberty.
It can be very humbling if you are open to it, and you can take these lessons into daily life. The guys were sooo great!! We had such a good time and I was so happy with how the horses were in a new environment. I am really looking forward to more events like this with 📸

You do not have to have experience around horses. There will be no ridden work.

This week just proved that the weather can be crazy! We had some days with rain, but then super warm sun, wind, no wind, etc
This week we had a bit of everything, and it was so cool because with the dark sky the green just pops. Do you see that?! The lake looked like a tropical ocean, and the colours are just amazing.
We have had the busiest week and I am so super proud of the horses giving everyone the best experience.
I blocked off Saturday afternoon and Sunday because I knew we all needed these days to recover and get ready for another week of school holidays.
Funny how I went from going to school in a suit for Hospitality Management, to wearing workout clothes all day every day being a Personal Trainer, to now a New Zealand cowgirl.
I think I am sticking to the cowgirl theme, even though sometimes you’ll see me riding in my workout clothes and Nikes 😆 Its just so comfy!!
These photos were for a photoshoot for that I became a brand ambassador for. I like modelling, and creating cool scenes with the photographer.

We have been busy practising our natural horsemanship skills with the horses. I have done a lot of clinics over the last 5 years, plus been an intern for Ken Dromgool.
Now my team of cowgirls are keen to learn from me plus they signed up for their first clinic using my horses! How cool! I am so stoked about our community, and super proud of the horses.

Sometimes I just don’t know what to write under a post 😂 I feel like I always write about the weather, how much I love the horses, and grateful I am about all your support.
Love these photos that Victoria took though!! I am very lucky I have a few amazing woman around me who are photo and videographers. In return they get to be involved with the horses, and we have a little community of cowgirls. They are all super awesome and I feel like I should show them a bit more.

She is a super talented photographer, but not only that, she is also incredibly funny, and a gorgeous human in general.
We have so many plans on how we want to collaborate in the future with brands, and products etc and the horses just make it so easy, they are the best!

The “Lake Ride”
It is just such a nice ride! Even in winter it is incredible, maybe even more so with the snowy mountain tops 🏔️
Wow this inversion layer has been real 😫 June has been quiet and the horses are having lots of free time which is so nice.
We have gone on a holiday to Bali 👙 and the amazing Leanne will be running the show until we get back.
We are so grateful to all that have come along this month, and we are so happy to have met all of you!
Ps: I think next year in June we will close for the month, and put the horses on a nice hill block to roam free
This photo is just so cool!! I expected the horses to have their ears pinned being side by side, but they kept their feelings to themselves and gave us this great shot.
The beautiful ladies in the photo have helped me since the start and its so great to have a few volunteers who are happy to help looking after the boys, riding them when they need it, and who are there when I need it.
I am super happy with the community that we are building, but I want it even bigger, and better! Every day I get an email from a girl wanting to volunteer or work here, and I know I can’t help them all. But I wish I could do something to make sure anybody can be part of our family. I haven’t figured out how yet but I will some day.

That is one of the reasons why I have set up this business; combining humans with horses and nature.
Telling them how horses operate, how they communicate, and how to be gentle on and with them. It is very special to see every person who comes on a ride connects with their horse. They become buddies and they really want to do the best for them.
We had some lovely people all the way from Taiwan! And you can imagine how big of an adventure this is for them. Some of these people have never even touched a horse!
Soon it is Mother’s day 🌸💕 On Sunday May 14th
We would like to make this a special day: come and help me brush the horses, saddle, then we go for a 2-hour ride and at the end enjoy a “High Tea”

With a lot of excitement I’d like to present my coming course:
“Get confident trekking”
This is a 6-week course starting May where you ride one of my horses.
🏔️ Are you dreaming of being out there in the mountains on a horse?
🐎 Would you like to gain confidence riding outside the arena?
🍁 Do you want to learn in a small safe environment?
Every week we will catch the horses together, groom, saddle, and then go out for a ride.
We will also cover some aspects of Natural Horsemanship so you feel confident handling horses on the ground.
This course is for adults only, and I am thinking either a Sunday or Tuesday afternoon (let me know what day is your preference, or if it is another day)
There will only be 4 spots so be quick in showing interest! I need a minimum of 2 to be able to run this.

However there is an energy there that I can’t show in the photos. Yeah the photos are great, but we all know they don’t do justice to what we see and feel by being there.
Yesterday I took the lovely Leanne our for a ride. She is an amazing local rider who will help me sometimes with the horses. She was so great with handsome Louie!! Look how far in the water we went, it was so fun.

I wasn’t sure which photo was better, the first where Tilly looks best, or second where I look best 🤣 Sooo I posted both.
This horse is a pretty special one. One year ago I was asked to sell her on behalf, and one of the interested was Jin . At that time lots of people told her this horse was too much and not a good match. But I knew better and saw the potential in both Tilly and Jin.
Now a year later Jin and I are such good friends, but even cooler is that her and Tilly have grown sooo much. Its amazing to see the both of them grow this connection and work together, and become such a cool team.
I love Tilly, she is such a sweet horse, and I am so grateful for your friendship Jin!!

The horses are starting to grow their winter coats which I love seeing. Its amazing how they can regulate their own body heat. I am excited to see who will get the most fluffy during winter ☃️

Not so long ago a big part of New Zealand was badly damaged by cyclone “Gabrielle” Many in the Hawk’s Bay area have lost their homes, animals, businesses, and are today still struggling to get their life back.
We felt we had to do something and gave away 3 spots on our rides and decided to auction them. Thanks to many of you guys who have participated in this and we have notified the lucky winners. They helped us choose the charities and the money has been given.
$500 went to a charity focused on helping our equine friends “Hawk’s Bay equine donations”
$250 went to the “Hawk’s Bay Disaster Relief Trust”

Aren’t they just the CUTEST 💕 Almost every morning I call them and then couple minutes later they pop up ready to come to work. It is still a big pond at the cottage and one of the paddocks. So its a bit of a hustle getting all the horses back from the “wild” in the morning. But I have created a new routine 😆This was the first day when I opened up this paddock for them and its always a bit of a party when that happens. The Hut Ride 🐎 2 days of riding, sleeping on top of the hill nestled in the trees overlooking beautiful Wanaka. This is a glamping experience where we work together with Gabi from @ who makes the food for us to bring up there. It is all-inclusive (byo alcohol) and a once in a lifetime experience. Even the horses felt the peace on this ride. At the moment I am looking for a new horse since little Magic has found himself an amazing new home. I knew when I started that they are not all going to work out. I got to be realistic about this. It will be a standardbred, but not sure about the height I am wanting! Do I want a small one cause its less intimidating? Or a big one so they can carry more kg’s.
