After selling out our February retreat, we have just one room (Double ensuite) remaining for March 18-21.

This is for the couple who loves doing things a little differently;

Bringing the horses to their holiday destination, and Axel’s last day. It was a grey, cold, inversion kinda day to start with. We also had “Elle” with us to capture video footage for our new Youtube channel (stay tuned 👀)

I sort of had a plan, but knew it could work just as much as to fail. We choose who to ride and lead and which horses we thought were just gonna follow. It was half / half.

Turned out I didn’t quite choose the right horses, and also we probably needed 1 more rider. But after some attempts to mustering we decided it was probably easier to all walk for a walk, lead another one and once through the first gate we could let a few go.

This worked and once on the trail it was much more peaceful. It was as if we were on one big trail ride and all the horses were allowed to come along.

We made it to their area and let the rest go. Its always funny because they look at us like “now what” but a few will remember and wander off to find some nice grass.

We had a nice drink and snack and were reminiscing on the highlights of the last season. Talked about our best rides and memories, until we hopped in the truck and rode back home.

Thanks so much to the team and the amazing horses for another amazing season! Thank you Axel for joining us this summer, and let’s see what more we can do next year!

We are closing for our annual break from May 18th - July 1st. We will bring the horses to their holiday destination, which you will recognise if you’ve been on any of our bigger rides.

Let’s hope we come back to snowy top mountains, blue skies, and freshly made runs for us to go skiing and snowboarding as well.

Winter is an amazing time to come on a ride for that reason. Usually there is not much wind, the snow line sits at 600 metre altitude so we can still go for rides in the middle of winter.

Sorry if we are missing you during that time though!

It is so annoying that someone does this. Luckily we have so many amazing 5-star reviews that it doesn’t really affect us or our rating. Plus we know better and who we are and what we can deliver.

We are so grateful for all the amazing people that have come and visit, and have come back again even. I know you guys like seeing the “behind the scenes” and this is one side of it. Its important we don’t linger in the negative and focus on the positive, which we do!

One more day until we close, and give the horses a well deserved rest. They deserve it! They are the true super stars ✨🐎

Did you know we only take 4 people on our rides??? Okay sometimes there might be 5, so don’t be upset if thats the case 😅

But our booking system is set to 4 to keep our rides more private, exclusive, and more personable. I think this is very special in the trekking industry and one of the big reasons how we set ourselves apart from other places.

The land we ride on is so beautiful, and more adventurous. It would be weird to ride with big groups. This way we also get to connect with so many of you, and you don’t feel like just a number.

We love connecting with each and everyone of you, and really appreciate your support!

I’ve been working on something a little special…

A small, luxury escape in Wanaka where we combine some of my favourite things: horses, beautiful landscapes, good wine, movement, and bringing people together.

Think riding through incredible scenery with Wanaka Horse Trekking, wine tastings at local wineries, pilates with the best view, and staying in a private lodge where everything is taken care of.

It’s designed to be relaxed, intimate, and just the right balance of adventure and indulgence.

Feb 11-14
March 18-21
Only 6 - 8 spots available.

If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, send me a DM with “RETREAT” and I’ll share the details with you 🐎🍷🧘🏽‍♀️

Did you know that our rides are only set to 4 people max?? Occasionally there might be 5, but we like to only take small groups so we can really connect with everyone on our ride.

Of course if there is a group of friends or a family we can go up to 6. I love this and I think we are one of the only ones who do this.

I believe this land we ride on is so beautiful it should be smaller, more private, and also exclusive.

However that does mean you should never wait too long booking a ride! Because the spots do fill up fast. Hope you are all having a lovely day 🤗

Let’s do a pregnancy shoot but make it country / cowgirl style 💕🐎

I wasn’t gonna do a pregnancy shoot but we are “one and done”. Then I thought well I am only having this big belly once in my life. It is a weird thing growing a baby, this little human inside you, I couldn’t really wrap my head around it.

So on a whim I asked a friend who is an amazing photographer if she wanted to take a few photos. I love them and it will always be a cool memory to look back on. I was around 7/8 months here, and was lucky how easy pregnancy was still being able to do almost everything.

And don’t worry I also got some sweet photos with Nate, he just doesn’t want to be put online ;)
